Check the brakes before choosing parts
- First checks
- Pad wear, disc condition and the hydraulic system. Regenerative braking still needs healthy mechanical brakes.
- Repair choices
- Pads alone may suit serviceable discs. Worn or damaged discs may need replacement with the pads. A warning light needs diagnosis.
Compare brake repairs with the parts and axle quantities included.
Regeneration can reduce how often the friction brakes are used, but it does not prevent corrosion, sticking or uneven wear. A brake noise after parking needs its condition checked before deciding between pads alone and a pad-and-disc replacement. Grinding, a fluid leak or a marked change in pedal feel needs prompt attention rather than repeated test drives.
Identify the fitted suspension
- First checks
- Joints, bushings and shock absorbers for knocks or changes in ride height. Air suspension needs a separate assessment.
- Your quote
- The affected side, replacement assembly, single or paired units, and any alignment or setup.
Compare the suspension repair options for the fitted system.
If the car sits low on one corner after parking, the inspection considers leaks and the fitted leveling system. A knocking conventional suspension calls for a different repair. Replacing an air strut without checking related air lines or the control system can leave the original problem unresolved. We list the confirmed component and required setup separately.
Separate wheel balance from alignment
- First checks
- Tire, wheel and suspension damage. Balance concerns the rotating assembly. Alignment checks wheel angles.
- Fitment details
- Required tire size, load and speed rating. Front and rear fitments may differ, so rotation is checked first.
Tell us whether the vibration appears at a certain speed, while braking or after an impact. A tire-sidewall photo can help later if a replacement is needed.
Tell us which system has changed
- Cabin cooling
- Warm air and weak airflow call for different checks. The compressor, refrigerant circuit, cabin filter and blower are considered according to the fitted system. High-voltage AC components need specialist procedures.
- Low-voltage battery
- This supports vehicle electronics and is separate from the traction battery. Replacement needs compatible fitment and any required setup.
A warning photo is useful if available. We check the likely cause before quoting a battery or AC component.
