Paint condition
Cracked, chipped, peeling or previously repaired paint changes the assessment. PDR cannot replace missing paint or conceal a deep scratch.
A repair choice that starts with the paint
A door ding, parking dent or crease does not always need repainting. Have the damage assessed at our Al Quoz workshop and compare paintless dent repair with conventional repair before deciding.
Send a close photo, an angled view and a wider panel view with your model and year.
What we check before choosing PDR
Paintless dent repair reshapes suitable damage while retaining the finish. Size alone cannot determine whether it will work on your panel.
Cracked, chipped, peeling or previously repaired paint changes the assessment. PDR cannot replace missing paint or conceal a deep scratch.
Depth, sharp creases, stretched metal and damage at a body line or edge affect the method and likely result.
Steel and aluminum can behave differently. The panel design and manufacturer’s repair limits must be considered.
Bracing, trim and equipment behind the dent can restrict tool access. Existing access points and permitted trim removal determine the method. Drilling a new hole or removing structural foam just to reach a dent is not an acceptable PDR shortcut.
Price the actual dent and access
A small accessible ding can be a very different job from a sharp crease on a reinforced edge. These ranges help you plan an inspection.
| Damage and included repairs | Estimated price including VAT |
|---|---|
| Small dent suitable for PDROne accessible minor dent with sound existing paint. | AED 200–500Per dent |
| Medium dent suitable for PDRMore shaping time, with suitability and access confirmed first. | AED 350–800Per dent |
| Three small parking dings on one panelSuitable minor PDR with sound paint and shared, straightforward access. We inspect all three dents before confirming the work. | AED 450–900Combined price for three dents |
| Conventional dent repair and repaintTypical repairable door or fender, with ordinary preparation and refinishing. | AED 500–1,500Per panel |
| Several dents or complex panel damageMultiple impacts, difficult creases, large panels or replacement considerations. | Combined assessmentQuote for all agreed repairs |
Estimates include the stated repair labor, normal materials, straightforward access and refitting, and 5% VAT. Extensive trim removal, specialist finishes, aluminum repairs, adjacent paint blending and replacement parts can cost extra. Photos help us estimate; we inspect the damage and confirm your total before work.
Keep the original finish when appropriate
The aim is an appropriate repair with clear expectations. Neither method should be promised before the damage is examined.
Specialist tools reshape the panel from an appropriate access point. Glue pulling may be considered where suitable, with the condition and history of the paint assessed first.
A successful PDR repair avoids filler and repainting for that dent. Some suitable door dings can be completed during a short workshop visit, while complex access takes longer.
Preserving the outer paint does not remove the need to protect the back of the panel. Dent tools can disturb its protective coating. Restoring the required corrosion protection and refitting any removed trim belong in the repair, even when the exterior needs no paint.
The panel is repaired and prepared for refinishing where required. Damage that cannot be suitably repaired may lead to a replacement recommendation.
The quote should cover the panel repair, preparation, paintwork and any blending. Broader bumper and panel repairs may be needed when the damage extends beyond the dent.
Different dents need different assessments
From a photo enquiry to a repair decision
Share the model, year, location of the dent and any previous paint repair. Photos help establish the likely next step; inspection confirms suitability.
We explain whether PDR is suitable, the finish improvement to expect and any included trim removal or paintwork. You approve the repairs and full price before work begins.
We inspect the panel from different angles under suitable light, check removed trim and relevant functions, and show you the finish at handover. We provide the invoice and applicable warranty terms.
My Car Repair Dubai
Our independent workshop is at 39, Al Quoz, Dubai. My Car Repair Dubai is operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC.
Call to discuss the damage and an assessment slot. Ask about the free initial inspection and any charges for access or further work. Pickup and drop off depend on location, availability and the terms confirmed with you.
If the panel is loose, a door will not latch or there are signs of a larger impact, tell us before driving in. The priority is assessing safe movement of the vehicle.
Clear expectations before repair
PDR aims to retain suitable existing paint, but paint condition and previous repairs need assessment. Cracked, weak or poorly bonded refinishing may not tolerate the proposed technique. We explain suitability, expected improvement and any paint risk before work.
It may be possible in some cases, but previous repair and paint adhesion affect the decision, particularly where glue pulling is considered. Tell the workshop about any repainting you know of and have the finish inspected.
Allow around 1–2 hours for a straightforward suitable small-dent PDR repair once work starts. Several dents, difficult access or conventional repair and refinishing take longer. We confirm the collection time after inspecting the damage.
A properly completed repair should leave the panel stable, but a new impact can create new damage. Discuss any stretched metal or stability concern during assessment and obtain the applicable workmanship terms.
A small cosmetic dent with intact paint does not automatically grow or rust. Broken paint, exposed metal, impaired panel fit or accident damage deserves timely assessment. A loose panel or a door that will not latch is a safety concern.
No. Plastic bumper materials and repair methods differ from metal panel PDR. The cover, mounts, paint and any nearby sensors must be assessed before selecting repair or replacement.
A suitable small dent is estimated at AED 200–500 and a medium dent at AED 350–800. Three suitable small dings on one panel are estimated at AED 450–900 together. Prices include 5% VAT; paint condition, access and dent shape determine the final quote.
Send a few photos or call our Al Quoz team. We explain whether PDR can preserve your finish, what the repair is likely to cost and when we can assess the car.
