Start with what your car is doing

Does your car need
a new battery?

A starting problem is a symptom. Choose the closest description for a useful next step. Testing confirms what your car actually needs.

Test the battery and connections

Slow cranking or rapid clicking can come from a discharged battery, a failing battery, poor terminal contact or a starter-circuit problem. Interior lights working does not prove that the battery can start the engine.

Avoid repeated starting attempts. Request a battery test and a check of the connections before approving replacement.

Find out why the charge disappeared

A jump-start supplies temporary starting power. It does not repair a failed battery or identify why it went flat. The battery may need controlled charging and retesting, or the car may have a charging fault or excessive draw while parked.

Tell us when it last started, how long it was parked, and whether the problem repeats. A healthy battery may need diagnosis rather than replacement.

Check the charging system

A battery warning that stays on while driving can indicate a charging-system fault. Replacing the battery alone may leave the original fault unresolved. The alternator, drive system, wiring and connections need appropriate checks.

Pull over safely if other warnings, steering changes, overheating or electrical failure occur. Call for guidance and arrange car recovery when continuing is unsafe.

A new battery may not fix it

If the engine turns over at its usual speed but does not start, fuel, ignition, immobilizer or engine-management faults may need investigation. The sound alone is not enough to identify the cause.

Vehicle diagnostics can help find the reason for a no-start when the engine cranks normally. Share any warning messages and recent repair history.

Testing and fitting
your replacement battery

The service covers testing, battery selection, installation and final checks. Select a step to see what happens at each stage.

01 Test before replacingService in focus
Battery and starting checks

Your technician follows the procedure for your specific vehicle.

Step 1 of 4

01 / Test

Understand the starting problem

We inspect the battery and connections, then assess battery condition with a suitable test. A low state of charge may call for charging and retesting before a replacement decision.

Starting and charging checks help separate battery failure from another electrical problem. A scan code or a voltage reading on its own is not a complete diagnosis.

You should know why replacement is recommended.
02 / Match

Choose the correct specification

We match the required voltage and battery technology, case size, terminal position, hold-down, vent connection where fitted, capacity and starting rating. AGM, EFB and standard batteries are not interchangeable by price alone.

Your quote should identify the battery brand and specification, installation work, any setup requirement, and warranty conditions.

Correct fit comes before the brand or lowest price.
03 / Fit

Install it with the right procedure

The technician follows the vehicle’s power-down, removal and installation procedure. The battery must be securely retained, with connections and any venting correctly fitted.

Where required, battery registration tells the car’s battery-management system that a new battery has been fitted. The system may also need the replacement’s capacity and technology recorded. Other vehicles learn the change automatically, so the procedure is checked for your model. Any required setup is included in the agreed work. Access under a seat or inside the boot can change the time and cost.

Model-specific setup is checked before fitting.
04 / Verify

Check the restart and the paperwork

After fitting, we check the starting behavior and charging operation, and review any warnings that remain. A repeat drain or unresolved charging fault needs its own diagnosis.

Keep the invoice, battery specification and selected battery’s warranty terms. Ask how a claim is assessed and confirm the old battery collection or recycling arrangement before the technician leaves.

The job ends with a checked result and a clear handover.

Choose by specification

The right technology
for your car

Your model year, engine and fitted equipment determine the battery specification. Two cars from the same brand may need different batteries.

12V

Conventional battery

A standard flooded lead-acid battery for vehicles designed to use it.

Good fit when specified. It is not a budget substitute for a factory AGM or EFB application. Case size, terminal layout and rating still need to match.

EFB

Enhanced flooded battery

Designed for increased cycling demands, including some start-stop systems.

Keep the required technology. Use the specified EFB replacement. An AGM upgrade is considered only where the vehicle’s application and setup allow it.

AGM

Absorbent glass mat

Used in many vehicles with higher electrical demands and advanced start-stop systems.

Replace AGM with AGM. Disabling start-stop does not make a standard battery suitable. Registration or coding depends on the particular vehicle.

Ah describes capacity; CCA describes starting capability under a specified test standard. VARTA explains the differences between AGM and EFB batteries and why the correct technology matters.

Some cars have a separate auxiliary battery alongside the main starting battery. An auxiliary-battery warning needs the correct battery and circuit identified before parts are ordered. Hybrids and EVs also have low-voltage batteries, but these are not always 12V lead-acid units. Some use lithium-ion batteries with a different specification and replacement procedure. Suitability must be confirmed for the exact model; high-voltage traction batteries are outside the prices above.

Before fitting begins

Know what you are
getting before we fit it

You can compare battery options without guessing what is included. Ask for one total and a clear explanation of any additional work.

  • Battery and installation. Confirm a new battery, exact specification, supply and fitting, and any mobile attendance charge.
  • Testing and setup. Confirm which checks are included and whether registration, resets or separate electrical diagnosis are needed.
  • Warranty you can use. Duration and coverage depend on the selected battery. Check exclusions, claim handling and any replacement limitations before purchase.
  • Follow-up if it goes flat again. Return with the invoice and symptoms. Repeated discharge can be caused by a vehicle fault even after a new battery is fitted.

Questions about
battery replacement

The practical details behind a battery replacement, from timing to warranty.

How long does battery replacement take?

A straightforward, accessible 12V battery change can often take around 20–40 minutes once the correct battery and technician are at the car. Diagnosis, difficult access, charging and retesting, or registration can take longer. This is a work-time estimate, not an arrival promise.

Can you replace a battery at my home or office?

Mobile battery delivery and installation can be arranged in Dubai. Share the car, location and parking access so the team can confirm the correct battery, attendance charge and arrival estimate. An unsafe roadside position may require recovery instead.

Do BMW, Audi and Mercedes batteries need registration?

Some models require battery registration, adaptation or a battery-management reset after replacement. The requirement depends on the model and electrical system, not just the brand. Tell us the model and year so the required setup can be checked and included in the quote.

Can I use a cheaper standard battery instead of AGM?

Use the technology specified for the vehicle. An AGM application should receive a suitable AGM replacement. Turning off start-stop does not change the vehicle’s battery specification. A cheaper battery with the wrong technology or rating may not meet the car’s electrical demands.

Does a jump-start mean I need a new battery?

No. A jump-start only helps provide starting power. The battery may be discharged but still serviceable, or a charging fault or parked electrical drain may be involved. Testing, and charging and retesting where appropriate, helps decide whether replacement is justified.

How long should a car battery last in Dubai?

There is no reliable replacement date that fits every car. Heat, short trips, long periods parked, battery specification and charging condition all affect life. Have slow cranking or repeat discharge checked instead of replacing on age alone. If the car is often unused for weeks, ask about a battery maintainer compatible with both the battery and the vehicle. Follow the manufacturer’s charging instructions.

What warranty comes with the replacement battery?

The warranty depends on the battery brand and product selected. Ask for the duration, covered faults, exclusions, claim procedure and any replacement limit in writing before fitting. Keep the invoice. A flat battery caused by a separate vehicle fault may be treated differently from a manufacturing defect.

Does this service include hybrid and EV traction batteries?

This service focuses on the vehicle’s low-voltage starting or auxiliary battery, subject to model suitability. High-voltage traction battery faults need a separate specialist assessment and are not included in the 12V price guide. Do not handle orange high-voltage cables or attempt traction battery work.
