Upholstery prices depend on the job
A repair to one seat panel costs differently from replacing a headliner or retrimming a whole cabin. Tell us what is damaged and the finish you want. We provide a free estimate and confirm the work after inspecting the material and fit.
Replacing only a worn panel may keep the work smaller when the surrounding upholstery is sound. Where several panels have failed, a wider retrim can give a more consistent finish. We discuss both where they are practical.
Keep what can be saved
Repair one area or retrim more
The right choice depends on how far the damage goes and whether the remaining material is still strong. A clean surface, a repaired surface and a replacement panel are different results.
Local upholstery repair
For suitable small tears, seam damage or limited surface wear, a local repair may preserve more of the original covering. Leather colour wear needs a different treatment from a hole or a failed seam. Cleaning and conditioning alone will not mend torn material.
Damage is limited and the surrounding material remains sound.
Seat panel replacement
A torn bolster, worn cushion section or repeatedly splitting panel may need new material. We assess the cover and the foam beneath it before discussing replacement. The aim is a tidy fit with an agreed colour and texture match, rather than covering up a weakened area.
One section has failed but most of the seat can be retained.
Full seat or interior retrim
For widespread wear or a planned colour change, we can discuss a complete seat retrim or a coordinated interior. Agree which seats, door inserts, armrests and other pieces are included. Material availability and the car’s original features shape what is possible.
Several surfaces need replacing, or you want a new cabin finish.
If the covering is intact and the concern is dirt or staining, start with our car detailing service. Cleaning cannot reverse every stain or repair damaged fabric.

The details you live with
A finish that belongs in your car
A good upholstery decision is about more than selecting a colour. The grain should sit comfortably beside the retained panels. Stitching needs a consistent line. The cover must fit the seat shape without loose edges or an awkward seam.
- See the material first. Compare the proposed colour and texture with the surrounding trim in daylight.
- Agree the pattern. Discuss original-style seams, contrast thread, piping or a different design before cutting.
- Check the feel underneath. Flattened foam and loose supports are separate from damage to the cover and can change the work.
We explain the practical limits of a match before you approve it. An older interior may have faded unevenly, so a new panel cannot always blend invisibly.

Refresh the rest of your interior
Bring the whole concern to us, whether it is one loose panel or several worn surfaces. We separate cosmetic work from mechanical, electrical and safety repairs.
Headliners and sunroof shades
Loose roof fabric needs an assessment of the backing, board and access needed for removal. We discuss suitable lining replacement and the trim around lights, handles and sunroof openings. If there is dampness or recurring staining, the water source needs attention before new fabric is fitted.
Door inserts and armrests
Peeling fabric, worn leather and lifting edges can spoil an otherwise tidy interior. We assess the insert, covering and support beneath it, then quote the repair or retrim. Material choice should work alongside the seats, switches and retained door trim.
Carpets and fitted mats
Replace worn or damaged floor coverings with the fit and openings agreed for your vehicle. Wet carpets need a separate leak assessment. Mats must fit securely and stay clear of the pedals; covering damp material does not solve the cause.
Steering wheels and smaller trim
Discuss a worn steering-wheel cover, gear-knob covering, dashboard surface or other touchpoints alongside the main upholstery work. Choose an original-style finish or discuss a coordinated material change that works with the rest of the cabin.
Planning custom work? Ask about seat covers, colour changes or a starlight headliner. We confirm the design, access, electrical requirements and vehicle suitability before quoting customisation.
Look. Feel. Everyday use.
Choose your material with confidence
Start with the finish you like, then compare its care needs, feel and suitability for the car. We confirm the actual material and available colours before you approve a retrim.

Automotive leather
Consider the grain, finish, softness and how closely it matches the retained upholstery. “Leather” alone does not describe the grade or finish. Ask to see the proposed material and its care instructions.
Synthetic upholstery
A leather-look finish may suit the design and budget. Compare the actual sample rather than assuming all synthetic materials feel or perform the same. Confirm its intended automotive use and cleaning requirements.
Fabric upholstery
Pattern, weave and colour affect how a replacement panel sits beside the original cloth. A complete seat covering can be more consistent when a close match is unavailable or several sections are worn.
Alcantara and suede-look trim
Confirm the material identity before choosing a repair or replacement. Genuine Alcantara and other suede-look textiles are not interchangeable. They also need different care from leather, so follow the instructions for the selected material.
Seats do more than support you
Keep the original features in mind
Tell us if your seats have side airbags, heating, ventilation, powered adjustment or occupancy sensors. These features can affect the choice of covering and whether a particular repair or retrim is appropriate.
Airbag deployment seams must not be treated as ordinary decorative stitching. Some manufacturers restrict replacement covers altogether. We check the model-specific requirements before agreeing the work; a perforated fabric or a neat-looking seam is not proof of compatibility.
From first photos to final fit
Know what happens next
Photos are a useful starting point. An inspection confirms the condition beneath the covering, the access needed and any features that change the job.
We agree the expected time after choosing the material and work. A local repair and a full interior retrim have very different preparation and fitting needs.
Show us the interior
Send your vehicle details, a wider photo and close-ups of the damage. Tell us whether you want an original-style finish or a different look.
Inspect and choose
We assess repair versus replacement, discuss suitable materials and confirm the pieces included. You approve the quotation before work begins.
Repair, fit and check
The agreed covering or trim is repaired or replaced. Fitting, retained trim and relevant seat functions are checked according to the work carried out.
Collect with care instructions
We explain the care appropriate to the finish and any restrictions after the work. Ask about pickup and drop-off when arranging the appointment.

A few useful answers
Have a specific repair in mind? Call 050 608 7150 and tell us what you would like to change.
Can you replace just one seat panel?
Sometimes. A panel replacement can make sense when the surrounding covering and seat base are sound. We need to assess the damage, material match and seat features first. If wear is widespread, replacing a larger area may give a more consistent finish.
Will the colour match perfectly?
An exact match is not always possible, especially with faded leather or a discontinued fabric. Compare a sample against the retained interior and agree the result before work. Grain, gloss and stitching matter alongside the colour.
Can a sagging headliner be cleaned?
Cleaning addresses dirt, not a failed bond or deteriorated backing. We inspect the lining and supporting board to decide what needs replacing. Dampness or repeat staining also needs a leak check before a cosmetic repair.
Can you work on heated or ventilated seats?
We need the exact vehicle and seat specification before confirming suitable work. Heating elements, ventilation openings, sensors and manufacturer restrictions can limit the repair or replacement options. Do not assume a generic cover will preserve every function.
How long will the upholstery work take?
That depends on the amount of work, removal access, material availability and fitting requirements. We confirm the collection plan with the quotation. Share any deadline before booking so the proposed schedule can be discussed.
How should I care for the new finish?
Follow the instructions for the exact material and repair system. Remove loose dirt gently, address spills promptly and avoid unapproved solvents or aggressive scrubbing. Alcantara and other textiles should not automatically receive leather-care products.
Is there a warranty on the work?
Ask us to confirm any applicable workmanship or material warranty in your quotation. Coverage depends on the agreed work and supplied material. Wear, accidental damage and care requirements should be clear before you approve the job.
