Paintless dent repair
Suitable dents may be reshaped while retaining the existing finish. Sharp creases, stretched metal, difficult access or damaged paint can change suitability. See our dent repair service for a focused assessment.
A clear plan for damaged bodywork
Parking damage, a scraped bumper or a panel that no longer lines up? Get the damage assessed at our Al Quoz workshop and compare repair, replacement and refinishing before choosing the work.
Send the model, year and clear photos. A photo estimate remains provisional until hidden damage and access are checked.
The method should fit the damage
The size of a mark is only part of the decision. Paint condition, panel material, previous repairs, access and nearby components also matter.
Suitable dents may be reshaped while retaining the existing finish. Sharp creases, stretched metal, difficult access or damaged paint can change suitability. See our dent repair service for a focused assessment.
A repairable panel may need reshaping, surface preparation and refinishing. The quote should identify the affected panel and whether neighboring areas need paint blending.
Inspect the cover, fixings and surrounding parts before deciding. A cosmetic scrape is different from broken mounting points, hidden impact damage or damage near a radar or sensor area.
A shallow mark in a gloss finish may respond to polishing, while exposed colour or metal usually needs refinishing. A local paint repair can suit a small area, but the panel shape, finish and paint-system instructions determine whether a larger area needs painting. Matte and satin finishes need a different assessment; ordinary polishing can change their sheen. For full resprays or protection choices, visit car painting and paint protection.
Estimates for common body repairs
Compare the same bodywork, paint finish and replacement parts. A lower price may exclude removal, blending or supporting work that another quote includes.
| Typical bodywork | Planning estimate |
|---|---|
| Small dent suitable for paintless repairOne accessible minor dent with serviceable existing paint. | AED 200–500 |
| Repairable bumper cover and refinishingTypical cosmetic bumper work, excluding replacement sensors, reinforcement or a new cover. | AED 400–1,200 |
| Single panel repair and repaintTypical repairable door or fender damage, standard preparation and finish. | AED 500–1,500 |
| Panel replacement or collision damageParts, disassembly, hidden damage and required checks determine the work. | Inspection based quote |
Indicative labor and ordinary materials estimates before 5% VAT. Large panels, aluminum, specialist finishes, previous poor repairs and difficult access can cost more. Adjacent panel blending, replacement parts, diagnostics and calibration must be identified in the final quote. Confirm the complete price including VAT.
Look beyond the visible scrape
A photo can show the surface, but it cannot reliably reveal every broken fixing, damaged support or distorted area behind a panel. Damage that appears cosmetic can affect nearby equipment.
Make the first enquiry more useful
Take photos while safely parked in good light. Include the model and year, what happened and whether the vehicle can be driven safely.
Show where the damage sits in relation to the bumper, doors, lights and wheel. This helps establish the likely panel count.
Show cracked paint, a crease, a split or a broken fixing without covering the area with your hand. Mention any previous repair you know about.
Reflections and an angled view can reveal the depth of a dent or distortion. Add any warning message or unusual gap you noticed.
A bumper cover, a door skin and a sill can need very different repairs. The material, mounting points and parts behind the visible damage determine how the job is carried out.
Set expectations before leaving the car
The paint code is a starting point. Ageing, finish type and previous refinishing can affect the match. A test panel helps assess the colour against the car. Metallic and pearl finishes may need blending into an adjacent panel, so the painted area can extend beyond the original scratch.
A small repair can need less workshop time than several panels or an ordered replacement. Disassembly findings, parts supply and any approvals can change the collection date.
Curing time and the permitted washing or protection products depend on the actual refinish system. Get the earliest suitable washing, polishing and paint-protection-film dates at collection rather than assuming the car is ready for every treatment when it leaves the workshop. For matte or satin paint, avoid ordinary polish and abrasive compounds; follow the coating maker’s low-gloss care instructions.
My Car Repair Dubai
Our independent workshop is at 39, Al Quoz Industrial Area 4, Dubai. My Car Repair Dubai is operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC.
Call for a damage assessment and available workshop dates. Ask about the free initial inspection and agree any chargeable disassembly or additional tests. Pickup and drop off depend on location, availability and confirmed terms.
For damage after an impact, our accident and collision repair service covers the wider assessment. If an insurer is involved, confirm its authorisation and document requirements before commissioning work. A workshop estimate does not establish claim approval.
Answers before repair
Clear photos can support an initial estimate or help plan an inspection. The final price depends on physical assessment, access, parts and any hidden damage. Ask which assumptions the initial estimate includes.
It depends on the material, damage location, extent of distortion and the manufacturer’s repair limits. Compare a suitable repair with the complete replacement cost. Replacement is not automatically necessary for every dent.
No. Paintless repair depends on paint condition, panel shape, access and the nature of the dent. Stretched metal, sharp damage or a damaged finish may require conventional repair and refinishing.
Minor cosmetic jobs may take a short workshop visit or a few days. Several panels, replacement parts, specialist procedures or approval delays can take longer. Confirm a realistic collection estimate after inspection.
Color matching needs assessment of the paint code, current finish and any previous work. Blending may be recommended to achieve a consistent appearance. Discuss the repair area and expected finish before work.
Usually the decision can be limited to the affected repair and any necessary blending. A full vehicle respray serves a different purpose. Ask why each area is included in the proposed paint work.
