Suzuki models and the work they need

Select your model family to see the relevant servicing and repair details. Petrol mechanical servicing is the main offer. Electrified systems, unusual imports and specialist procedures are checked before booking.

Choose your Suzuki model family

Hatchbacks and saloons

  • Swift
  • Baleno
  • Dzire
  • Ciaz
  • Alto
  • Celerio

Oil and filters, cooling, brakes and AC are part of the everyday repair offer. Identify the fitted gearbox before booking its service. A manual, conventional automatic, CVT or automated manual needs different work.

SUVs and crossovers

  • Vitara
  • Grand Vitara
  • SX4
  • Brezza

The year and drive system matter as much as the badge. An older Grand Vitara and a newer mild hybrid have different drivetrain and electrical equipment. Specialist hybrid or protected software work needs individual acceptance.

Family and utility vehicles

  • Ertiga
  • XL7
  • APV

Servicing, brakes, suspension and cooling repairs can be planned around the vehicle’s use. Previous XL7 generations and newer family models share a name but can require very different parts.

Older and imported cars

  • Kizashi
  • Earlier Suzuki models
  • Swift Sport

Confirm parts availability and the requested job before leaving the car. Imported engines, performance brakes and market-specific electronics may change the repair options and waiting time.

Build the service around what is due

A routine service should replace due items and identify wear without turning every inspection into a parts package. Your service history helps separate essential replacements from work that can wait.

The oil and filter job

  • Engine oil with the specified grade and performance requirements
  • A matching replacement oil filter and required seals
  • Normal fitting work and final oil-level checks
  • A check for visible leaks around the serviced areas

Other maintenance

Air and cabin filters, spark plugs, coolant and brake fluid follow their own requirements. Combine due items in one visit when useful, with each replacement listed.

A new fault

Repeated oil loss, overheating or rough running needs a repair assessment. Fresh oil and a service-reminder reset alone will not establish the cause.

Use your car’s schedule

Bring the mileage and last service record. The engine, year, time since the last service and operating conditions decide what is due. We avoid applying one kilometre interval to the whole Suzuki range.

Our oil and filter service guide explains product selection and the work included.

Gearbox maintenance and repairs are different jobs

Select your gearbox to see its servicing and repair needs. The year and market specification help identify the fitted unit.

Choose your gearbox type

Manual and AGS

A conventional manual uses a driver-operated clutch. AGS is an automated manual offered on some Suzuki versions, with the clutch and shifts operated automatically.

Maintenance
Use the gearbox’s specified oil and applicable interval.
Repair choices
Clutch wear, selection problems and actuator faults need different assessments. Confirm actuator support on an AGS car.

Conventional automatic

Some Baleno and Jimny versions use a conventional automatic. Identify the exact unit before choosing its fluid or replacement parts.

Maintenance
Correct automatic-transmission fluid, fill procedure and any serviceable filter.
Repair choices
A leak or external fault may need a limited repair. Internal damage may justify overhaul or replacement.

CVT

Some Swift generations and market versions have a continuously variable transmission. A CVT service needs the correct CVT fluid and unit-specific procedure.

Maintenance
The specified fluid, quantity and any applicable filter work.
Repair choices
Investigate judder, slipping or delayed engagement before recommending a fluid change as the solution.

Choose the repair after diagnosis

  • Targeted repair Retain the unit when the fault is limited.
  • Overhaul Assess internal condition and repair parts.
  • Replacement Confirm specification, condition and required setup.

Compare the work included, parts availability and warranty terms. Our transmission repair options explain the cost factors.

Engine leaks, cooling faults and larger repairs

A service can reveal a leak or running concern, but the repair should follow the findings. We explain options for retaining repairable components as well as larger engine work.

Find how far the damage goes

We repair oil leaks, cooling-system faults and engine running problems. Inspection and testing distinguish a gasket, hose, ignition or electrical fault from an engine that needs internal work.

For coolant loss or overheating, the radiator, hoses, thermostat, pump and fan operation may need attention. The repair must address the reason for the temperature rise before the car returns to use.

Stop for overheating or an oil-pressure warning

Stop safely and switch off. Call before driving further and ask about recovery. Avoid opening a hot cooling system.

Local repair
Replace a confirmed failed seal, gasket, hose or component when the remaining engine is serviceable. Access work and any associated parts affect the fitted price.
Top-end work
Cylinder-head repairs may be considered after suitable testing. The cause of overheating, head condition and condition of the lower engine affect whether the repair is worthwhile.
Rebuild or replace
For internal wear or serious damage, compare machining and repair parts with a compatible replacement engine. Used units need a clear condition, provenance and warranty description.
Timing repair
Identify whether the fitted engine uses a belt or chain and follow its requirements. A warning, rattle or running fault needs investigation before a timing kit is ordered.

Brakes, steering and Jimny 4WD work

Brakes and chassis work should restore controlled stopping and handling. Compact road cars and the Jimny have different suspension layouts, so a shared badge does not establish which parts to fit.

Green Suzuki Jimny raised on a lift for an underbody inspection

A Jimny’s rigid axles, separate springs and dampers require parts and checks suited to that layout.

Jimny axles and drivetrain
Gearbox, transfer and differential fluid work are separate items. A new vibration, impact or leak can call for inspection of shafts, joints, mounts and seals before choosing the repair.
Steering and suspension
A knock may come from a bush, link, joint or mounting. Repair a separately serviceable component where suitable, or compare the complete assembly when that is the appropriate option.
Tyres and wheel geometry
Inspect tyres and worn steering parts before alignment. Balancing addresses wheel imbalance. Modified Jimny tyres or suspension must be described when booking because they can affect handling and the checks required.

Pads with serviceable discs

Pad replacement can retain discs that meet the vehicle’s thickness and condition limits. Caliper movement and uneven wear are checked so the new pads are not fitted over an unresolved fault.

More than a pad change

Worn discs, drum-brake components where fitted, hydraulic faults and ABS warnings need the relevant work. Rear shoes and drums are different parts from a disc-brake pad set. We identify the fitted brakes before quoting.

Suspension work may include mounts, boots, springs or an axle pair of dampers. These are identified separately rather than replacing every corner automatically. Our suspension repair options explain the differences. With a sinking brake pedal, reduced stopping power or unsafe steering, stop safely and call.

Cooling the cabin and keeping the car starting

AC and electrical faults affect daily usability even when the engine runs well. Tell us what has changed so the visit is planned for the right checks.

AC and cooling faults

We inspect, repair and service the AC system using the fitted refrigerant and specified quantity. Select the symptom below.

Warm air

Check the cooling circuit, pressure readings, leaks and compressor operation. Replace a failed component when the findings support it.

Weak airflow

Inspect the cabin filter, blower and air distribution. A refrigerant refill will not clear a blocked filter or repair a blower fault.

Cooling varies

Describe whether the change happens at idle or while moving. Fan operation and control faults may need investigation.

Leak repair and recharging belong together when refrigerant is being lost. Our AC repair service explains the repair choices.

Starting and electrical repairs

Battery and circuit testing help distinguish a failed battery from a starting, charging or electrical fault. Select the symptom below.

Slow cranking

Test the battery and connections, with starter and charging checks where needed.

Repeated discharge

Investigate charging performance or an electrical drain rather than repeatedly fitting batteries.

Warning or accessory fault

Scan the relevant modules and test the circuit. A stored fault code alone does not prove that a module needs replacing.

Stop-start and SHVS versions

Stop-start and SHVS mild-hybrid versions may need a different starter battery and electrical procedure. The auxiliary lithium battery, integrated starter generator, high-voltage systems and protected programming require individual service acceptance.

Repair damage and choose the finish

Mechanical repairs are one part of the workshop offer. For body, glass or interior damage, the condition of the part determines whether a local repair can retain it or replacement is needed.

AreaRepair that may retain the partWhen replacement or more work matters
Body and paintA suitable dent may be repaired while retaining the panel. Paintwork restores areas where the finish is damaged.Severe deformation or structural damage can need replacement and further assessment. Hidden damage changes the estimate.
Windscreen and glassA repairable chip may be assessed for repair according to its position and damage.Cracks or unsuitable damage may need replacement. Match the glass, sensors and camera equipment and confirm any required calibration arrangement.
Seats and trimA local upholstery repair may suit a limited tear or worn area.A retrim or replacement cover may suit wider damage. Material, colour and seat equipment affect the choice.

Choose parts for the job

Compare genuine Suzuki parts with suitable equivalent options where available. The quotation names the brand, quantity and fitted work. Older imports, lamps, trim and model-specific assemblies can need extra sourcing time.

For gearbox or engine replacement, discuss whether the offered unit is new, rebuilt or used and which warranty applies. Price alone does not explain its condition.

Keep the finish and equipment together

Colour matching, adjacent panels, clips and fittings affect bodywork. Airbags, seat wiring and driver-assistance equipment need separate consideration after damage.

Our collision repair service explains damage assessment. Cleaning, polishing and detailing can address surface condition, while damaged paint or materials may need repair.

Plan the visit and collection

Send your model, year, mileage and the work you need. A photograph of damage or a warning message can help us prepare. We ask for the VIN or further details when needed to identify parts.

Visit My Car Repair Dubai, operated by AMF Auto Services LLC at 39, Al Quoz Industrial Area 4, Dubai. Call for an available appointment and expected time without the car. Straightforward servicing and repairs requiring diagnosis or ordered parts have different waiting needs.

Ask about pickup and drop-off when enquiring. The location, schedule and any transport charge are confirmed before the arrangement. If the car cannot be driven safely, call to discuss recovery.

At collection, the completed job determines the final checks, which may include fluid levels, leaks, fault verification or a suitable road test. Keep the invoice with the parts, work completed, next due items and applicable warranty terms.

Questions before booking

Can you repair older Suzuki models?

Ask about the exact model and requested repair before leaving the car. Older engines, imported specifications and discontinued trim may need a parts-availability check. We confirm the accepted work and sourcing arrangements individually.

Should I book a major service if the history is missing?

Start with the vehicle’s requirements, mileage, age and condition. An inspection and available records help identify due maintenance. The estimate should list the actual items rather than assuming every filter, fluid and component needs replacement.

Do you work on Suzuki hybrid or electric systems?

General mechanical work on a suitable vehicle is separate from specialist electrified-system work. Send the exact model, year and job. Battery-pack repairs, charging faults, lithium auxiliary batteries, integrated starter generators and protected software functions need individual acceptance before booking.
