Independent Ford repair in Al Quoz

Ford Repair in Dubai

Harsh shifts, an engine warning or a vibration under load? Tell us how you use your Ford and when the fault appears. We check the fitted powertrain and equipment, then explain the repair options and complete estimate.

We investigate EcoBoost running faults, PowerShift and conventional automatic complaints, pickup driveline concerns and brake or AC problems. You approve the repair after we explain the findings.

AED 250–500Estimated standard brake pads on one axle with fitting and 5% VAT. Mustang performance and larger pickup brake packages need a matched quote.

Cars SUVs and pickups

Ford cars SUVs and pickups need different checks

Daily commuting, family travel, towing and performance driving place different demands on a Ford. Tell us the model and what you have noticed. We can ask for engine or modification details when a specific repair needs them.

FOCUS FIESTA FUSION AND TAURUS

Everyday cars

Starting problems, weak AC, low-speed judder and suspension noise need the exact powertrain identified. A PowerShift-equipped car is different from a manual or conventional automatic.

See Ford Focus repair. Imported and older versions need parts availability checked.

EDGE EXPLORER ESCAPE AND EXPEDITION

Family SUVs

Check cooling, the fitted drivetrain, brake wear and ride quality. Front and rear cabin comfort may need separate airflow checks where rear AC is installed.

Discuss Explorer repair with the seating configuration, symptoms and journey conditions.

F-150 RANGER BRONCO AND MUSTANG

Work off-road and performance use

Towing, off-road use and modifications can affect brakes, tires, suspension and driveline work. A Mustang brake package and a pickup axle need their own parts match.

Explore Mustang repair or Ranger repair. Confirm specialist work first.

Stop when a warning becomes a safety concernOverheating, loss of oil pressure, severe misfiring, unsafe braking or loss of drive needs prompt assessment. Stop safely and arrange suitable recovery when necessary. Do not continue towing or driving to see whether the problem clears.

Compare complete repair estimates

Ford repair costs depend on the fitted equipment

These planning ranges use our published workshop allowances and include fitting and 5% VAT for the stated work. The final quote depends on the VIN, parts and confirmed fault. They are not fixed prices for every Ford.

Defined workEstimate with VATIncluded work and limits
Engine oil and filterAED 200–600The correct specified oil, one compatible filter and fitting for the agreed engine. Extra filters, flushing and leak repairs are separate.
Standard brake pads on one axleAED 250–500One new compatible pad set and fitting. Larger pickup, Mustang performance and nonstandard hardware need separate matching and pricing.
Pads and two conventional discsAED 650–2,500One axle with a compatible pad set, two conventional discs and fitting. Caliper repairs, fluid work and special brake packages are separate.
One arm or ball jointAED 400–1,500One identified component on a suitable application and fitting. Confirm the component quantity and whether alignment is additional.
Conventional shock or strut pairAED 1,000–3,200Two compatible units on one axle, fitting and standard alignment when required. Adaptive units, springs, mounts and extra worn parts are excluded.
Scanning and agreed first checksAED 150–350The initial computer investigation and agreed checks. The accessible visual assessment is free. Extended tests and dismantling are quoted separately.
R134a AC serviceAED 265–370Routine service on a suitable R134a system. Other refrigerants, leaks, replacement parts and larger rear AC systems need their own estimate.
Conventional automatic component repairAED 1,500–4,500The identified repair with agreed parts and fitting on a suitable conventional unit. This is not a PowerShift clutch or control-module allowance.
Conventional automatic rebuildAED 3,500–10,000+Removal, agreed internal repair and refitting for a suitable unit. Confirm parts, fluid and testing. Large, performance or extensively damaged units can exceed this range.
Suitable head gasket repairAED 2,900–7,800Head removal, a warping check, the agreed gasket and coolant. Confirm the cylinder head involved. Both banks, machining, cracks and deeper damage are separate.

Ask for the full fitted total. Confirm parts brand and condition, quantities, labor, fluids, programming, testing and written warranty. Diagnosis is separate unless included. The plus sign means a job can exceed the upper figure.

A PowerShift clutch repair, turbo replacement, adaptive damper or 4WD assembly requires its own estimate. Send vehicle details and the symptoms to avoid comparing different jobs.

EcoBoost V6 V8 and diesel applications

Engine repair starts with the installed engine

A turbocharged EcoBoost, naturally aspirated gasoline engine and imported diesel do not share one repair plan. Model year, engine code, service history and operating conditions guide the investigation.

EcoBoost power loss and running faults

Poor acceleration, a warning light or smoke can involve ignition, fueling, intake or boost control as well as mechanical damage. Check the complaint, relevant scan data, visible leaks and connections before quoting a turbocharger or engine assembly.

For a confirmed turbo fault, the estimate should address associated oil or coolant connections and any contamination or supporting fault. Replacing the main component alone may not complete the repair.

V6 and V8 noises or oil loss

Record whether a noise changes from cold to hot, at idle or under load. Trace leakage and distinguish accessory, exhaust and internal engine concerns before approving major work.

If evidence points inside the engine, agree the relevant oil-pressure, compression or mechanical checks and the dismantling charge. Compare a focused repair, rebuild and compatible replacement using the complete installed cost.

Timing system identification

Confirm the installed belt or chain arrangement and the correct service requirements. Do not assume every EcoBoost uses the same timing design or replacement interval.

Oil specification and history

Match Ford approval, viscosity, quantity and filter to the engine. Oil appearance alone does not establish the correct service interval. Bring previous invoices.

Diesel and emissions concerns

For an applicable imported diesel, identify the fitted exhaust-treatment system and the reason for a warning. Cleaning or regeneration does not repair an underlying control or mechanical fault.

Work that follows engine removal

Include seals, fasteners, fluids, any machining and final checks in the estimate. Agree how new findings will be approved before extra work proceeds.

Discuss Ford engine repair. The Ford UAE maintenance information is a starting point for finding the correct owner guidance for your vehicle.

Clutch gearbox and driveline

PowerShift and conventional automatics need different decisions

Tell us whether the concern is slow engagement, a harsh shift, slipping, judder or a vibration at road speed. Establish the fitted unit before choosing fluid, software work or replacement parts.

Underside checks help separate leaks, mounting concerns and drivetrain faults.

PowerShift-equipped cars

Ford describes the relevant six-speed PowerShift as a dual-clutch transmission. Clutch engagement, actuator or control concerns and internal damage need to be separated. A conventional automatic service quote does not define a PowerShift repair.

Conventional automatics

Identify the installed six, eight or ten-speed unit where applicable. Check fault data, leakage, operating conditions and shift behavior. An external fault, control repair and internal rebuild are different jobs with different costs.

Manual gearboxes

Clutch slip, difficult selection and bearing noise need the clutch, release system, flywheel and gearbox considered separately. Quote the necessary components after inspection rather than assuming a complete gearbox is required.

New or worsening judder should be assessedThe relevant Ford Focus owner information describes some low-speed characteristics of its dual-clutch system. That does not establish that severe judder, a warning or loss of drive is normal. Record what changed and arrange an inspection.

Before authorizing a rebuild

Ask what confirms internal damage and which parts are included. Compare repair, rebuild and compatible replacement with removal, refitting, fluids and testing. Required programming or adaptation must be confirmed for the exact job.

Before buying a fluid service

Use the unit-specific fluid and procedure. Maintenance may address a service need, but it cannot repair damaged gears or worn clutch components. Describe recent work so an existing complaint is not treated as routine servicing.

See Ford transmission repair and Ford information about six-speed PowerShift operation. Specifications and support vary by model year and market.

Brakes suspension wheels and steering

Match brake and suspension work to your Ford

Wheel size, axle load, brake package and suspension type can change the repair. Mention aftermarket wheels, lowered suspension, lift kits and previous modifications before parts are selected.

Technician inspecting a vehicle wheel in a workshop
Wheel and suspension checks should explain the noise, vibration or uneven wear.

Ride quality steering and tire wear

Locate worn joints, damaged bushes, mounts and leaking dampers. A conventional shock, adaptive unit and complete strut assembly are different purchases. Inspect tire condition and wheel damage alongside suspension complaints.

Correct alignment after necessary repairs. Balance addresses a different concern from wheel alignment. Electrical steering warnings also need appropriate supply and system checks.

Discuss Ford suspension repair with the fitted equipment and use of the vehicle.

Mechanic inspecting a pickup brake disc and suspension with the wheel removed
Brake and suspension components need a physical inspection before parts are chosen.

Standard pickup and performance brakes

Measure pad and disc condition and check caliper operation. The estimate should identify the axle, part numbers or specification, quantities and whether additional hydraulic work is required.

A Mustang performance package or larger pickup brake assembly needs a matched quote. Pads alone, pads with two discs and a caliper repair are different jobs.

Book Ford brake repair promptly if stopping performance changes. Unsafe braking needs suitable recovery.

AWD 4WD and towing complaints

A vibration under load can come from beyond the gearbox

Describe the road speed, selected drive mode and whether the vibration appears while accelerating, turning or towing. Tire, wheel, shaft and driveline concerns can feel similar from the driver seat.

Identify the drivetrain

Confirm front or rear drive, AWD or the fitted 4WD system. F-150, Ranger, Bronco and SUV configurations vary by model and specification.

Transfer case and axle fluids require their own specifications. A gearbox oil service should not be assumed to include every driveline assembly.

Locate the noise or movement

Inspect relevant shafts, joints, bearings, mounts and leakage. Record whether the complaint changes with load or drive mode.

Agree the evidence for a component repair or assembly replacement. Check associated wear before fitting a major replacement.

Explain the use history

Towing, heavy loads, off-road work and water exposure can change the relevant inspection and maintenance needs.

Use the correct Ford schedule for the exact vehicle and conditions. Do not apply one severe-service interval to every engine, axle or transfer case.

Two separate systems

Keep engine cooling and cabin AC distinct

Tell us whether the temperature gauge rises, the vents become warm or both happen.

Overheating and coolant loss

Locate leakage and assess relevant radiator, hose, fan, thermostat and pump operation. Repeated overheating may require further engine damage checks.

A coolant service does not repair a leaking component. Agree the original cause and any resulting damage before approving a head gasket or engine repair. Never open the pressure cap while hot.

Warm front or rear vents

Check which vents are affected and whether airflow is weak. Identify the refrigerant and assess pressures, temperatures, leakage and controls as appropriate.

Where rear AC is fitted, its airflow and circuit need consideration. A compressor estimate should address confirmed failure and any contamination. See Ford AC repair.

Starting charging and warning messages

An electrical warning needs a tested circuit

We use a suitable scanner, relevant live data and physical checks for the agreed investigation. A fault code points to a test. It does not prove that the named module must be replaced.

Battery starter and alternator

Separate slow cranking, clicking and a normal crank with no start. Battery condition, charging output, connections and circuit voltage loss can affect the repair decision.

Match battery technology and capacity, including start-stop requirements where fitted. Confirm any battery-monitoring reset or other setup needed for the actual vehicle. A recurring drain requires an agreed investigation rather than repeated battery replacement.

Modules sensors and intermittent faults

Record warning messages and operating conditions before faults are cleared. Wiring, supply, connectors and communication concerns may need checking before a control module is condemned.

Software access, programming, security functions and calibration depend on the model and job. We confirm the required access and support before accepting that work. Bring details of added alarms, trackers, cameras or other electrical changes.

Hybrid and electric Ford work must be confirmed firstTell us if the vehicle is a hybrid, F-150 Lightning or Mustang Mach-E. Routine mechanical work is different from high voltage, charging and traction battery repair. We confirm appropriate qualified support, equipment and procedures before accepting specialist work.

Routine servicing with a clear purpose

Build the service around history and actual use

A service visit should cover due maintenance and visible condition without hiding an active fault inside a generic package. Describe warning lights, noises and recent repairs when booking.

Confirm what is due

Use the correct owner schedule and oil-life instructions where fitted. Engine oil, filters, spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant and transmission service have different requirements. Towing and operating conditions can affect applicable maintenance.

Keep inspection and replacement separate

A checked component does not automatically need replacing. Ask for the findings, measurements where relevant and the reason for recommended work. Prioritize safety concerns and active failures, then agree other maintenance.

Keep the service record useful

Record the actual oil and fluid specifications, parts and completed work. Retain invoices and the next service advice. A previous replacement should be considered before the same work is proposed again.

For a planned visit, see Ford oil and filter service. An unresolved fault may require additional diagnosis rather than another routine service.

Compare like-for-like work

Three Ford repair estimates with clear scope

These model and year examples illustrate the work and are not customer repair records or fixed model prices. Each range includes fitting and 5% VAT for its stated scope. Diagnosis and other faults are separate unless written into the quote.

Final checks should confirm the original complaint is resolved before handover.

Agree how the repair will be checked

A leak repair, shift complaint and vibration need different final checks. Ask what will be inspected or tested after the work and whether a safe road check is appropriate.

At collection, discuss the original symptom, completed work and any remaining observations. Keep the invoice, parts details and follow-up advice so the next service starts with a clear record.

Parts completion and written coverage

Choose the parts with the repair plan

Compare the complete installed repair. Genuine Ford, Motorcraft, named aftermarket and replacement assemblies have different availability, conditions and costs.

Fitment and condition

Confirm VIN compatibility and the installed equipment. Identify the maker and specification of a part described as OEM. Used and reconditioned assemblies need their source, condition, included components and testing explained.

Supply and completion

Agree availability, the workshop slot and the required setup or testing before committing to collection. Imported specifications, performance components and additional findings can change timing. Extra repairs need your approval.

Repair warranty

Obtain the written parts and workmanship coverage for the specific job. Keep material conditions with the invoice. Manufacturer warranty claims, recalls and campaigns should be checked with the responsible Ford provider before paying for related work.

My Car Repair Dubai operates through AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC at 39, Al Quoz, Dubai. See our workshop location. Pickup and drop-off depend on access, availability and agreed charges.

We are an independent workshop. Start with the model and concern. For a repair involving an imported specification or modification, we will request the details needed to confirm parts and procedures.

Accident damage and glassBody, bumper and windshield estimates depend on hidden mounting damage, sensors, glass specification and paint scope. We check the fitted equipment and explain any required calibration before work is approved. See our Ford collision repair service.

Answers before you book

Ford repair questions

PowerShift, EcoBoost, pickup work, hybrid support, diagnosis and the details that change a repair estimate.

How much does Ford repair cost in Dubai?

Standard brake pads fitted on one axle are estimated at AED 250–500 including 5% VAT. A suitable conventional automatic component repair is AED 1,500–4,500. Actual costs depend on the fitted equipment, parts and confirmed fault. Performance, pickup and specialist components need a matched quote.

Do Focus and Fiesta PowerShift problems need a gearbox replacement?

Not automatically. Confirm the installed transmission and distinguish clutch, actuation, control and internal mechanical concerns. An electrical repair or clutch job differs from a complete unit replacement. The estimate should explain the evidence and required setup.

Can a fluid change fix harsh shifts in my Ford?

A correct service addresses a maintenance need, but fresh fluid cannot repair damaged mechanical parts. Identify the unit, check the complaint and distinguish fluid condition, controls, mounting and internal wear before choosing work.

Do all EcoBoost engines have the same maintenance needs?

No. Engine design, model year, market and operating conditions matter. Confirm oil approval, viscosity, quantity, timing arrangement and the applicable schedule. Do not apply one internet interval or repair assumption to every EcoBoost.

Do you repair F-150 Ranger and modified Ford vehicles?

We assess the exact vehicle and requested job before accepting it. Tell us the model and concern. We may ask for the VIN, drivetrain and modifications when matching a specialist part or procedure. Parts fitment, lift access, procedures and specialist support must suit the actual work.

Can you repair Ford hybrid and electric vehicles?

Confirm the model and job first. Routine brakes or suspension are different from high voltage, charging and traction battery work. We confirm qualified support, equipment and procedures before accepting specialist jobs on a hybrid, Lightning or Mustang Mach-E.

Is scanning free and how long will the repair take?

The accessible visual assessment is free. Scanning and agreed first checks are estimated at AED 150–350 including VAT. Extended diagnosis is separate. Completion depends on findings, parts and final checks, so agree a realistic update and collection plan after the first assessment.

Will independent repairs affect a Ford warranty claim?

If a manufacturer warranty, service plan or recall may cover the concern, check with the responsible provider before authorizing related paid work. Coverage depends on the actual terms and vehicle. We do not promise that every independent repair preserves every manufacturer benefit.

Why is the rear AC warm while the front is cold?

On a vehicle with rear AC, the rear airflow, controls and relevant refrigerant circuit may need separate assessment. Front cooling alone does not establish the condition of every rear component. Explain which vents are affected and when.

What parts and repair warranty will I receive?

Available options depend on compatibility and supply. Compare genuine Ford, Motorcraft and named aftermarket parts by specification and written coverage. A used or reconditioned assembly needs its condition and testing explained. Obtain the specific parts and workmanship terms before approving work.
