Lykan and Fenyr servicing differences

Lykan and Fenyr share a mid-rear-engine layout, but their body construction, fitted equipment and parts differ. Their individual specifications guide the inspection, repair method and parts order.

Lykan HyperSport
Twin-turbo flat-six, carbon-composite body and bespoke doors and lighting.
Fenyr SuperSport
RUF-developed 3.8-liter engine and carbon-fiber and graphene-composite body.

Fenyr SuperSport

Lykan HyperSport

Engine and drivetrain
Mid-rear twin-turbo flat-six, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential.
Body and fitted equipment
Carbon-composite panels, distinctive doors, bespoke lighting and displays.
What changes the repair
Body, door and electronic components need the correct fitment and repair method. Ordinary metal-panel or headlamp replacement may be unsuitable.
GHIATH or LOKI inquiries

Security and high-voltage equipment need separate specialist arrangements. Support for those systems is assessed for each inquiry.

Inspection costs and repair estimates

A planned oil service and a damaged composite panel involve different access, parts and labor. We separate the initial assessment from paid testing and the repair itself, so a diagnostic charge is not mistaken for the complete job price.

Initial visual assessment

Free

A discussion of the concern and an initial visible check. Dismantling, specialist computer diagnosis and a full vehicle-condition report are separate work. Call with the model and concern to arrange the initial assessment.

Targeted diagnostic budget guide

AED 150–350

Per session · Including 5% VAT · Published general workshop guide

This wider workshop range is background guidance. A Lykan or Fenyr testing fee is agreed for the required access and test time before testing begins. It excludes parts, dismantling and repairs.

Oil and filter servicing is priced for the specified oil quantity, filter and access. Brake estimates identify pads or discs and the axle covered. Engine, transmission and composite-body work is quoted from the findings and parts availability, with labor, fluids, setup, VAT and delivery identified in the written total.

Typical W Motors job estimates

Planning examples for accessible work, with 5% VAT included. These are estimated jobs, not records of repairs we have completed. The actual quote depends on the car, approved parts, access and any specialist involvement.

2019 Fenyr starting fault after storage

An initial targeted low-voltage electrical assessment with normal access. The planning total covers battery condition, accessible supply connections and charging checks appropriate to the reported fault. It does not include a replacement battery or a completed repair.

Estimated initial assessment AED 150–350

This uses the general workshop diagnostic guide. A Fenyr-specific fee may differ if additional access, extended drain testing or proprietary diagnostic support is needed. We agree that charge before testing. The findings determine whether charging, wiring or battery replacement should be quoted.

2015 Lykan rear tire pair

A market-based budget for two new premium rear tires in the published 335/30 ZR 20 size, normal wheel removal, fitting, balancing and pressure checks. The estimate covers one rear axle, with undamaged wheels and routine access.

Estimated total AED 2,800–4,200

The vehicle-approved pattern, load and speed ratings must be established before ordering. A same-size tire marketed for another car does not prove suitability. Required original specification tires, import delivery, wheel repair, pressure sensors, alignment and specialist handling can change the quotation. This is a planning range, not a stock or fitment promise.

What goes into your maintenance visit

Low mileage does not remove time-related maintenance. The service history and handbook establish what is due, while storage or track use can add checks.

Oil service and additional work

ItemOil and filter servicePriced separately
Engine oilSpecified lubricant and quantityRepair of an oil leak
Filter and fittingCompatible oil filter and replacement laborOther filters when due
Other fluidsNot part of the oil serviceGearbox, differential, coolant or brake-fluid work
Fault investigationNot included in routine servicingTesting, dismantling and repairs for a reported fault

The estimate accounts for access on a mid-rear-engine car. There is no universal oil grade or mileage interval for every build.

Returning a stored hypercar to regular use

A low odometer reading does not reveal how a car was stored. Tell us the storage period, any battery maintainer used and whether a fault appeared on the first restart. We inspect the accessible tires, fluid levels, leaks and low-voltage supply before recommending a road test. A damaged tire, significant leak or brake concern needs attention before the car is driven.

Rubber age, flat spotting and tire damage require more than a tread-depth reading. Tires are assessed against their condition and the vehicle requirements. Fresh oil cannot correct a worn turbocharger, and a new battery will not cure an ongoing electrical drain. These concerns receive separate findings and repair choices.

Servicing time and replacement parts

The quotation separates the time needed in the workshop from supplier delivery. A fluid service with available consumables has a different schedule from an imported gearbox assembly or bespoke door component. If access reveals additional damage, we explain it and revise the estimate before extra work. No universal same-day completion time is promised for a Lykan or Fenyr.

Keep the itemized invoice, lubricant specification and completed checks with the service history. At collection, ask which items were repaired, which were inspected and which still need attention. Manufacturer warranty work, proprietary programming and structural-composite certification require the relevant manufacturer or specialist arrangements.

Engine concerns and gearbox repair choices

A fluid service, a clutch fault and internal gearbox damage involve different work. Inspection establishes which is relevant before a major assembly is removed.

Engine, cooling and turbo concerns

Rough running or power loss
Ignition, fuel delivery, air leaks and boost operation are investigated. Compression or leak-down testing may follow the findings.
Oil or coolant loss
The fluid and source are traced through the relevant circuit, including turbo connections, seals and hoses.

Repair, rebuild or replace?

Repair a component
A defined leak or damaged part with a usable surrounding assembly. The quote names the repair and related checks.
Assess a rebuild
Internal damage requiring dismantling. Inspection charges, available internal parts and the rebuilder are agreed first.
Replace the assembly
A compatible new, used or remanufactured unit. Compare condition, delivery, fitting, setup and applicable cover.

Brakes and tires need the right fitment

Published Lykan and Fenyr specifications describe ceramic-composite discs and different front and rear tire sizes. A conventional brake-service price or a same-size tire set is not an equivalent job.

Published tire sizes

Fenyr SuperSport

Front axle
265/30 ZR 19
Rear axle
345/30 ZR 20

Lykan HyperSport

Front axle
255/35 ZR 19
Rear axle
335/30 ZR 20

Reference fitments, not an order specification. Fitted wheels, approved tires, load and speed ratings are checked before ordering. Different axle sizes mean front-to-rear rotation is unsuitable.

Tread, age, damage and pressure all matter.

Choose the brake work from the findings

Compatible pads
When disc condition permits pad replacement. The estimate identifies the axle, pads, sensors and fittings needed.
Pads and discs
When disc assessment calls for replacement. Ceramic-composite inspection criteria apply, and ordinary iron-disc skimming is unsuitable.
Hydraulic or ABS repair
When the concern involves calipers, fluid, hydraulics or control components. This is separate from replacing friction parts.

Pulling, vibration or uneven wear?

Wheels, tires, joints, bushings and coil-over shock absorbers are checked as relevant. Alignment changes geometry, while balancing addresses rotating-wheel imbalance. Worn or damaged parts need attention before final geometry checks.

Find the checks for your symptom

Starting faults and weak cabin cooling need different checks. Describe what happens and when so the investigation addresses the correct system.

Factory-controlled repairs and warranty inquiries belong with the manufacturer’s support network. Proprietary programming access is assessed for each independent repair.

The car will not start after storage
First checks

Battery condition, power supply and charging performance.

Work that may follow

A compatible battery or a repair to the supply or charging fault, based on the findings.

The battery keeps going flat
First checks

Charging performance and a possible electrical drain.

Work that may follow

Repair of the identified cause so it does not affect a replacement battery.

A light, lock or display is not working
First checks

Wiring, sensors and the fitted bespoke hardware.

Work that may follow

Compatible components and any available setup or coding required for the job.

The air conditioning has weak airflow
First checks

Filter condition, blower operation and related controls.

Work that may follow

Filter, blower or control work, with trim access identified in the estimate.

The air flows but does not cool
First checks

Refrigerant leakage, compressor operation and electrical control.

Work that may follow

Leak repair or compatible components, specified refrigerant and lubricant, and performance checks. A top-up alone leaves a leak unresolved.

Choose bodywork by the damage

A finish mark, a composite-panel impact and damaged glass need different treatment. Suspected structural damage is assessed before a cosmetic repair is selected.

Composite panels and bespoke parts affect repair methods.
Marks in the finish
Detail, protect or refinish

Paint, protection and upholstery work starts with the existing surface and the result you want. Existing damage is discussed first.

Impact into a panel
Assess repair or replacement

Panel construction, mountings, underbody and concealed equipment determine the work. Ordinary metal-panel dent repair may be unsuitable. Structural-composite repairs need suitable specialist arrangements.

Glass, doors or trim
Match the fitted components

Screen features, seals, bespoke door hardware and trim must suit the car. Availability and any associated setup affect the estimate.

After an accident, restraints, wheels and nearby components may need their own checks. The insurer determines its report, repairer approval and authorization requirements. A workshop estimate and an insurer’s payment decision are separate.

After a scrape underneath the car

Tell us whether the contact was with a ramp, curb or road obstacle, and whether it was followed by fluid loss, vibration or a warning. On a low-clearance car, damage can extend beyond a visible finish mark. The assessment may need to include the underbody, wheel condition, mounting points and nearby cooling or electrical equipment. Additional access is agreed before covers are removed. A cosmetic repair quote does not establish structural condition, and a clear dashboard does not prove that every affected component is sound.

Plan the visit and know what the quote covers

Parts supply can take longer than fitting on a low-volume car. Workshop time, supplier delivery and any specialist waiting time are identified separately.

Your written estimate

Work and total
Labor, fluids, fitting, setup, delivery and VAT included or itemized. Extra investigation or hidden damage is discussed before additional repairs.
Timing
Workshop time distinguished from parts delivery and specialist arrangements.
At collection
Checks for the original concern, invoice, applicable parts and workmanship terms, aftercare and any follow-up. Road testing needs agreed permission and suitable conditions.
Al Quoz workshop or arranged collection

AMF Auto Services LLC, Warehouse 39, Al Quoz, Dubai. Appointments and access are arranged before arrival. Collection of a low-clearance car needs suitable loading equipment. Overheating, significant fluid loss or unsafe braking calls for assistance rather than driving.

A model and short description of the work are enough to begin. For a specific component, the replacement-parts inquiry can also use an existing reference or photo. The VIN may be requested later for fitment.

Questions about a W Motors visit

For an initial inquiry, the model and work you need are enough to start. Vehicle details and existing findings can follow when they help the repair or parts inquiry.

Are you an authorized W Motors repairer?

No. My Car Repair Dubai is an independent workshop operated by AMF Auto Services LLC in Al Quoz. Manufacturer warranty repairs, proprietary functions and factory support should be discussed with W Motors’ authorized arrangements. We explain the independent repair options and any work that needs factory or specialist support.

Can a photograph give me a repair price?

A photograph helps explain visible damage and the requested work. Hidden damage, component condition and part compatibility can require an inspection before the final repair quote. Send the model and concern first. Photographs and earlier findings are useful when available.

Does AED 150–350 apply to my car?

It is the published general workshop diagnostic guide, including 5% VAT, rather than a fixed Lykan or Fenyr fee. The W Motors testing charge is agreed for the required access and time before testing starts. Parts, dismantling and repairs are separate.

Can you collect a low-clearance hypercar?

Call to discuss location, access, clearance and wheel condition. Appropriate loading and transport follow the vehicle’s requirements. Availability, method and charges are agreed for the car. Specialist hypercar transport is not automatically included in a general pickup offer. With impaired braking, overheating or significant fluid loss, stop safely and arrange assistance.

What should I send to arrange a visit?

Start with your Lykan or Fenyr model and the symptom or planned work. Tell us whether it runs and whether you need transport. A year, VIN, warning photo, modification details or service record may help later. We explain the available appointment and any inspection charge before you bring the car.
