Look beyond the scratch
Surface marks, flaking clear coat and a faded finish may suit cosmetic refurbishment once the wheel has been checked.
The rim, tire bead, valve or tire itself may be damaged. Repainting will not fix a leak or a distorted wheel. Ask for an inspection first.
Structural damage can make replacement necessary. The wheel maker’s limits come first, even if a repair looks possible.
Stop somewhere safe and call us. Avoid driving on a visibly cracked wheel or damaged tire; arrange recovery when needed.

Repair with the right limits
A fresh coating can hide a problem. We look at the inner barrel, rim edges, spoke area, mounting face and signs of earlier repairs before discussing cosmetic work.
Cracks, serious distortion and damage around the spokes or bolt seats need a replacement assessment, not a cosmetic cover-up. Follow the wheel manufacturer’s restrictions rather than assuming welding or straightening is permitted. Filler and fresh paint do not restore the strength of a cracked wheel.
The wheel material and the manufacturer’s refinishing limits determine which preparation and coating methods are suitable. Heat used to strip or cure a finish can matter, as can machining and previous refurbishment. Do not choose powder coating or a recut solely for its appearance without checking those restrictions.
It measures how far the wheel moves away from a true rotation. Combined with inspection, it helps investigate a bent wheel or vibration. Balancing corrects weight distribution; it does not straighten a bent wheel. A pressure leak also needs its source identified, including the tyre, valve and the area where the tyre seals against the rim.
For the underlying safety guidance, see EUWA’s wheel service instructions. Your wheel manufacturer’s instructions also apply.

Identify the wheel before choosing the finish
An 18-inch rim repair and a 22-inch rim repair can involve different preparation, but diameter alone does not set the price. The damage, spoke design and existing finish matter too. Send the size with your photos for a more useful estimate.
These are examples for your enquiry, not a guarantee that every wheel in each size can be refurbished. We confirm suitability for the exact wheel.
Look at the tyre sidewall first: in 225/40 R18, the final 18 is the matching rim diameter in inches. The tyre’s width is not the rim’s width. If the front and rear sizes differ, send both.
The wheel underneath the coating
Two wheels can share a size and colour but need different treatment. Construction identifies how the wheel is made; silver, black or diamond-cut describes its finish.
If you are unsure which type you have, send the wheel brand and markings. We check the permitted work before quoting a refinishing method.
Original and aftermarket wheels
For a BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota or another make, the badge is only the starting point. Model year, trim and the wheels actually fitted help identify the finish and any replacement specification.
Include the model and trim: for example, BMW 3 Series or Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Tell us if the wheels have been changed from the original set.
Send front and rear sizes separately if they differ. Mention a centre-lock wheel or an optional wheel package when fitted.
A photo and part number help distinguish similar-looking factory wheels. For an SUV, the correct load rating also matters when replacing a rim.
Include the model, year and wheel package. Tell us about aero covers and any tyre-pressure warning so the quote can account for the fitted components.
Choose the look
Once the wheel and suitable methods are identified, choose the appearance. Keep the original look or discuss a colour change; we confirm the available finish before you decide.

01 / Painted finish
Silver brings out the shape of the spokes and works well when you want an understated, original-style appearance.
For a single-wheel repair, we compare it with the other wheels. Age, previous repairs and the original paint can affect how closely one wheel matches.
Discuss: color shade · gloss level · clear coat

02 / Color change
Satin black has a softer sheen than gloss black. It changes the look of the car without a mirror-like surface.
Changing the full set usually gives a more consistent result. Paint or powder coating must be suitable for the wheel, including the preparation and curing process.
Discuss: satin or gloss · full-set quote · aftercare

03 / Machined appearance
A diamond-cut wheel combines a machined metal face with painted areas. It is different from an all-over silver paint finish.
Not every wheel can be recut. Previous machining, remaining material and the manufacturer’s instructions determine the options. Ask us to assess suitability and confirm availability; repainting may be the appropriate alternative.
Discuss: previous repairs · permitted method · alternative finish
Want a different look? Ask about gloss, satin or matte paint and the available colour match. Polished metal and chrome-plated wheels need a separate assessment; they are not the same finish as silver paint or a diamond-cut face.
From first look to refitting
The wheel’s condition determines the preparation and finish. We explain the repairs, included fitting work and estimated completion time before you approve them.
Check the visible damage and wheel condition. Discuss any air loss, vibration, impact or previous repair.
Confirm repair suitability, the finish, tire handling, price and expected time. Replacement is discussed when repair is unsuitable.
Carry out the agreed cosmetic preparation and coating. Allow the finish to cure as required by the process.
Check the finish and any agreed tire refitting, pressure and balancing work. Explain aftercare and any remaining concern.
When a new wheel makes sense
If damage rules out repair, ask us to quote a suitable replacement. Matching the diameter is only the start. The replacement must suit the car, tyre and intended position.
Send your vehicle details and a wheel photo. We verify the wheel markings, part number and fitment before sourcing a replacement.
Explore tyre fitting optionsMore than the visible finish
Refinishing is only part of the job when the tyre has to come off. These checks help define the fitting work and any extra parts before you approve the quote.
An impact can damage the tyre as well as the rim. The bead—the edge that seals against the wheel—and valve area need checking where there is damage or an air leak. New tyres and valves are quoted separately.
Tell us about a tyre-pressure warning before work. Compatible sensors may be retained if serviceable; damaged sensors or valve components need their own quote. Any reset or relearn follows the vehicle’s procedure.
A staggered setup uses different front and rear wheel specifications, so positions matter. Refitting needs compatible bolts or nuts, the specified tightening torque and any agreed pressure, leak and balance checks.

A straightforward cosmetic repair may fit within a working day. A full set, coating removal, color matching or extra inspection can take longer. We confirm the expected time after seeing the wheels.
Call before coming from Al Barsha, Umm Suqeim or Business Bay. Confirm whether to bring the whole car or loose wheels, and whether the vehicle needs to stay with us. Ask about pickup and drop-off by arrangement.
Bring the locking-wheel-nut key if fitted. Label loose wheels by their original position, especially on a staggered set. If you need the car while its wheels are off, discuss a suitable spare or other transport beforehand; do not assume loan wheels are available.
Let the wheels cool before cleaning. Use products suitable for the coating, avoid abrasive scrubbing and follow the finish maker’s curing advice. A rim protector can reduce light curb scuffs, but it cannot prevent serious impact damage.
Before you decide
Light curb-damage repair is estimated at AED 300–450 per rim; repair and repainting at AED 400–650. A full color change or suitable powder coating is AED 500–900 per rim. A standard single-color repaint for four wheels is AED 1,400–2,200. These estimates include 5% VAT and standard tire handling and balancing when needed.
Yes, one cosmetically damaged wheel can be assessed for repair. Matching an older finish may be less exact than refinishing a complete set, so discuss the expected color and sheen before approving it.
Do not assume a welded wheel is safe. The crack location, wheel design and manufacturer’s instructions matter, and replacement may be required. We do not recommend DIY epoxy or welding as a solution for a cracked road wheel.
A bent wheel needs inspection before any repair decision. Some wheel makers prohibit straightening or other structural repair. Serious deformation, damage around spokes or mounting points, and previous repairs can make replacement the appropriate option.
Only if it addresses the actual cause. Tire damage, wheel imbalance, a distorted wheel and mechanical faults can produce vibration. We can discuss wheel balancing and alignment checks; cosmetic repainting alone will not correct vibration.
No. The manufacturer’s rules, wheel condition and previous cuts limit what is possible. Ask for an assessment and confirmation of the finishing method. A painted finish or replacement may be more suitable than another cut.
Our repair and refinishing estimates include standard tire removal, refitting and balancing when needed. New valves, TPMS parts, tires or replacement wheels are extra and itemized before approval.
Surface coating damage may be suitable for refinishing, but serious corrosion or damage affecting the wheel’s structure, bead seat or mounting areas requires closer assessment. Painting over corrosion without addressing its condition is not a sound repair.
Wait until the new finish has cured fully and follow the coating and protector manufacturers’ instructions. Adhesive protectors need a compatible, clean surface. They provide limited protection against light scuffs, not potholes or major curb impacts.
Sometimes, but a larger diameter is not a direct substitute on its own. Tyre size, wheel width, offset, load rating, brake and body clearance, and the vehicle’s approved specifications must be checked together. Ask for a fitment assessment before buying a larger wheel set.
