Repair and servicing for your Audi

An A4’s gearbox, a Q7’s suspension and an RS model’s brakes can change the parts and work required. The model year and fitted equipment matter alongside the badge.

A

A1, A3, A4 and A5

Compact and midsize models

Petrol TFSI, imported TDI diesel, manual and automatic versions have different maintenance needs. On older cars, identify S tronic, tiptronic or multitronic before ordering fluids or transmission parts.

Q

Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q8

Alongside A6, A7 and A8

Conventional, adaptive and air suspension require different repairs. Engine size, brake options and the fitted quattro system also affect an estimate, particularly on larger SUVs and saloons.

S / RS

S, SQ, RS, TT and R8

Performance and specialist enquiries

Share the exact version and any modifications so we can confirm the requested work and parts support. S line is a trim designation, not proof of an S or RS powertrain. Carbon-ceramic brakes and R8 work need individual assessment.

e

Electric and plug-in hybrid models

A6 / Q6 e-tron · e-tron GT · Q4 / Q8 e-tron

TFSI e, e-hybrid and the older A3 Sportback e-tron are plug-in hybrids. Full-electric, 48V and hybrid enquiries are accepted by exact model and requested job, with specialist support confirmed before high-voltage or charging work.

Plan the work and the budget

Visual assessment is free

Accessible visible checks and a discussion of your concern. A relevant scan and agreed targeted diagnosis are AED 150–350 including VAT. Further testing or dismantling is agreed before the bill increases.

One written estimate before repairs

Named parts, quantities, labour, fluids and any required setup. Repairs and additional findings need your approval.

Engine condition guides the repair

Oil leaks, coolant loss and engine repairs

A leak can need a seal or housing replacement. Rough running may need ignition or fuel-system work. Internal repairs belong to a different decision, supported by the engine’s mechanical condition.

Open engine bay with coolant reservoir, hoses and intake plumbing

Repair the confirmed leak

Oil on an undertray and oil burning inside the engine need different investigation. External seals, crankcase ventilation and internal wear are considered according to the findings.

Coolant work can involve a hose, pump, thermostat housing, radiator or fan. Pressure and operating checks locate the problem and verify the repair after filling and bleeding.

Misfires, boost and fuel delivery

Coils, plugs, injectors, fuel pressure and air or boost leaks can affect petrol-engine running. A confirmed turbo fault needs checks of its oil supply and related damage as well as the unit itself. Intake cleaning is considered when deposits are established, rather than added to every service.

Imported TDI models may need separate fuel, EGR, DPF or AdBlue-system investigation where fitted. The engine and warning determine the required work.

Timing and internal engine damage

The fitted belt or chain system determines the procedure. A new rattle or timing fault is investigated before parts are ordered. Compression, leak-down or other mechanical tests can help establish whether cylinder-head work or a larger rebuild is justified.

For Audi engine repairs, compare the reusable parts, machining and fitting costs before choosing a rebuild or compatible replacement engine.

S tronic, tiptronic and quattro work

A scheduled fluid service, clutch repair and complete gearbox overhaul are different jobs. Delayed engagement, shudder or a warning needs investigation before deciding which one your Audi needs.

Dual-clutch gearbox

S tronic

Fluid circuits and filters vary by gearbox. A service uses its specified oil and procedure; clutch wear, a mechatronic fault or wiring problem may require a separate repair.

Adaptation is completed where required after the work. Worn hardware still needs repair.

Torque-converter automatic

Tiptronic

Shift behaviour, control data, leakage and fluid condition help distinguish an external or hydraulic repair from internal damage.

An overhaul becomes relevant when inspection establishes internal wear. Its quotation should identify the replaced parts and associated work.

Older front-wheel-drive applications

Multitronic

This continuously variable transmission has its own fluid and repair requirements. Parts availability and internal condition matter when comparing repair and replacement.

Older manuals also need the correct clutch, release mechanism and flywheel assessment rather than an automatic-service package.

quattro is more than one arrangement

Depending on the model, all-wheel drive can use a coupling, centre differential or quattro ultra hardware. Gearbox, differential and coupling fluids are separate items. Tyre compatibility, driveshafts and mountings also matter when tracing a vibration or tight-turn shudder.

Compare the complete fitted repair

For Audi gearbox repairs, we explain whether component work, an overhaul or replacement suits the findings. A replacement estimate identifies the unit’s condition, compatibility, fluids, fitting and required setup.

Brakes, suspension and a settled ride

Wear measurements and the installed equipment determine what needs replacing. A brake warning, a low corner and a vibration can lead to very different jobs.

Brake disc, caliper and front suspension with the road wheel removed

Pads alone or pads and discs?

Disc condition and remaining thickness decide whether pads alone are suitable. Caliper movement, wear sensors and parking-brake operation are checked as relevant. ABS or stability warnings can require electrical diagnosis alongside the brake inspection.

Quotes name the axle, brake package and supplied components. Performance and carbon-ceramic systems need their own parts and assessment.

01

Arms, bushes and conventional dampers

A bush may be separately replaceable or supplied within an arm. Damper work considers the matching axle pair, mounts and related wear. Play is repaired before final alignment.

02

Adaptive and air suspension

An air spring, damper and compressor do different jobs. The repair follows the confirmed leak, worn part or control fault, with compatible electronics and ride-height setup where required.

03

Steering, tyres and wheel condition

Check joints, bearings, tyres and damaged wheels when the car pulls or vibrates. Balancing addresses wheel imbalance; alignment adjusts geometry after mechanical faults are corrected. Tyre size, load rating and compatibility must suit the drivetrain.

AC comfort and cabin electronics

Weak cooling, a dark display or a flat battery can interrupt everyday use. Separating airflow, refrigerant and electrical complaints helps keep the repair focused.

Dashboard air vents, dark infotainment screens and tan leather trim

Cooling and airflow need different repairs

A blocked cabin filter or blower fault affects airflow. Refrigerant leakage, compressor control and cooling-fan faults require different checks. A recharge follows assessment of whether the system is suitable for it.

The refrigerant and compressor type are identified before service. Hybrid and electric AC work can require specialist procedures and support.

Starting, charging and battery drain

The 12V battery, its charging supply and an overnight drain are assessed separately. A replacement must match the required type and rating, with battery-management registration where specified.

A 48V warning or traction-battery complaint is a separate enquiry. High-voltage isolation, battery-pack work and charging faults require explicit support confirmation before booking.

MMI, displays, locks and lighting

For an MMI or Virtual Cockpit concern, tell us whether the screen, sound, controls or connected function has stopped working. Windows, locks, lamps and water ingress can involve wiring, supply or component faults.

Software access, component protection, immobiliser and online functions are confirmed individually. A replacement module may require more than physical fitting.

Exterior and interior repairs

Panels, glass and cabin finish

Visible damage is a useful starting point for photographs. An in-person inspection establishes repairability, hidden damage and the parts or finish needed.

Body repair and paint

Dents, bumper damage, panel repair and refinishing are assessed together with mountings, lights and concealed damage. Repairing a panel and replacing it have different preparation, parts and paint requirements.

Glass, seals and water ingress

Glass specification, rain sensors and camera equipment affect replacement. A leak may involve seals or drains rather than the glass itself. Any required camera or radar calibration is confirmed with the repair arrangements.

Seats, headlining and trim

Leather damage, sagging headlining and broken trim need suitable materials and a finish match. Seat electrics, airbags and other safety equipment remain separate from cosmetic upholstery work.

Keep the history useful

Service the items that are due

An oil change is one maintenance item. A scheduled inspection also reviews condition and due work against the model, engine, market, service display and previous records.

  • Oil and filtersUse the required Audi/VW oil approval and fill quantity. Air and cabin filters are separate service items.
  • Plugs, belts and fluidsSpark plugs, brake fluid, timing or auxiliary belts, gearbox and drivetrain fluids follow their applicable requirements.
  • Missing history or a new warningReconcile overdue work with the records and inspection. A fresh leak or warning needs repair investigation alongside maintenance.

Keep the invoice, specified consumables and work record. A service-display reset accompanies the completed work; it does not replace it.

Parts choices and repair timing

Compare named parts, not an unexplained “OEM quality” label. Genuine Audi, identified original-equipment supplier and suitable aftermarket options can differ in availability, price and coverage.

For a replacement engine or gearbox, the estimate identifies whether it is new, remanufactured or used, its compatibility and what comes with it. Reusable ancillaries and additional damaged components affect the fitted total.

Locally available consumables and special-order assemblies have different lead times. Dismantling, machining, specialist setup and delivery can add days beyond the hands-on repair time; collection is confirmed for the agreed job.

At collection

  • Review the completed work and relevant operating, leak or road-test checks.
  • Keep the itemised invoice and service or inspection findings.
  • Understand any bedding-in, recheck or other job-specific instructions.

Warranty for the agreed repair

Part and labour coverage, duration, mileage limits, exclusions and the claim process are stated with your estimate. Coverage depends on the repair and selected parts; keep the invoice if you need support afterwards.

Audi workshop questions

Is MyCarRepair an authorised Audi dealer?

MyCarRepair is an independent workshop operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC in Al Quoz Industrial Area 4. Check an active Audi warranty, service plan, recall or campaign with Audi before authorising paid work that may be covered.

Can I bring an older or imported Audi?

Yes, enquire with the model, year and work required. Engine and market specifications, modifications and parts availability determine the repair arrangements. Older A models, TT, imported TDI and unusual versions are checked individually.

What should I send with a warning-light enquiry?

Send the complete message, model and year, plus when it appears and any recent work. A photograph taken safely or an existing diagnostic report can help. Autel scanning and relevant physical tests are used where supported; a fault code alone is not a completed diagnosis.

Can I book only the work I need?

Yes. A defined service can be booked directly once its application is confirmed. If inspection finds another issue, we explain its priority and price before adding repairs. Safety-related work and maintenance that can be planned are discussed separately.

Do you arrange pickup or recovery?

Collection and return can be arranged subject to location, timing and availability. Confirm charges before dispatch. Tell us if the Audi cannot move safely, has low clearance or needs suitable recovery equipment.

What if the car already has a repair estimate?

Share the listed work and parts so we can compare the same job. A meaningful comparison includes labour, fluids, related damage, required coding or alignment and the selected parts, rather than the component price alone.
