Car Shaking & Vibration Repair in Dubai
A shaking steering wheel, brake judder or rough idle can have different causes. At our Al Quoz workshop, we check when the vibration occurs and arrange the appropriate repair, from wheel balancing to brake, mount or other mechanical work.
Tell us when it happens and where you feel it.

When do you feel the shake?
Start with what you notice during normal driving. Does the shake appear while cruising, braking or accelerating, or when the car is stationary? Tell us whether you feel it through the steering wheel, seat, pedals or whole body. These details help narrow the checks; the place you feel a vibration does not identify a failed part on its own.
What does vibration repair cost?
When wheel imbalance is the cause, our published starting estimate for four-wheel balancing is
From AED 120
For four wheel-and-tyre assemblies on a standard sedan. Wheel size, tyre type and the work required affect the amount.
What the estimate covers
This is a balancing estimate, not a fixed price for every shaking problem. Tyres, brake parts, mounts, suspension repairs and further fault investigation are priced separately.
Alignment is a different service. The published estimates are AED 100–200 for front alignment and AED 200–350 for four-wheel alignment, where adjustment is needed. See wheel alignment and balancing for the work included.
VAT inclusion is unconfirmed for these published estimates. Ask for the current total and whether 5% VAT is included before booking. Agree the initial checking charge and any additional work first.

Steering wheel or seat vibration at speed
When vibration changes with road speed, the wheels and tyres are one place to start. Balancing corrects uneven weight distribution in the wheel-and-tyre assembly. A damaged tyre or a rim that wobbles as it turns needs a different correction; adding balancing weights cannot repair it.
The findings determine whether the car needs rebalancing, a fitment correction, a replacement tyre, or repair or replacement of a damaged wheel. Worn steering joints, wheel bearings and suspension components also need attention when they contribute to the shake.
Balancing
Corrects imbalance as the wheel rotates. Often relevant to a vibration that changes with road speed.
Alignment
Adjusts wheel angles. Relevant to pulling, an off-centre steering wheel or uneven wear; it is not a universal vibration cure.
Where worn components prevent accurate adjustment, suspension repairs come before the final alignment.
Brake judder when slowing down
If the shake starts mainly when you apply the brakes, the brake assembly needs checking. Replacing the pads alone may leave the judder unchanged, especially if the disc or the surface it mounts against is causing the movement.
Once the cause is confirmed, our brake repair service can address the worn parts or fitting problem. The estimate should state the axle, components and labour included.

Shaking at idle or under acceleration
A shake while the car is stationary needs a different starting point because the wheels are not rotating. The engine may be running unevenly, or its mounts may be passing too much vibration into the body. Contact between components can also transmit vibration into the cabin.
Engine and mount repairs
Testing helps distinguish an ignition, fuelling or air-intake fault from a worn engine or gearbox mount. Mounts support these units and reduce the vibration reaching the body; replacing a mount will not correct an engine-running fault. Any replacement must match the car’s fitted mount type. A shake on startup alone does not mean the engine needs rebuilding.
Shudder when accelerating or changing gear
A driveshaft, CV joint or transmission fault can cause vibration as power reaches the wheels. CV joints allow a driveshaft to transmit power while its angle changes. Tell us if the shudder changes during a gear shift or when selecting Drive or Reverse; the repair may concern one component rather than the complete gearbox.
Engine-running faults may need a computer check alongside mechanical checks. Battery-electric cars have no combustion-engine idle; describe whether the vibration occurs while moving or while a cabin system operates.

Still shaking after new tyres or balancing?
A wheel can be balanced and still vibrate if the tyre or rim is not round, the tyre is not seated correctly, or the wheel does not fit centrally on the hub. Checks beyond a standard balance may be needed before repeating the same work. A mechanical fault elsewhere can feel similar from the driver’s seat.
Bring the previous invoice and say whether the shake started, improved or changed after the work. Mention new wheels, spacers, a kerb impact or recent suspension repairs. Also tell us if it began after the car was parked for a long time. Tyres can develop flat spots while standing, and persistent vibration needs inspection. This history helps us decide what to check next.
Tell us about your car
Send the make, model and year, the approximate speed or driving condition, and any warning message. Mention recent repairs or an impact. A video taken safely while parked may help describe an idle shake; you do not need to film while driving.
Before you book
How long will car vibration repair take?
Balancing and a component replacement are different jobs. The visit depends on whether the fault can be reproduced, the repairs needed and parts availability. We can discuss an initial appointment, then give a repair time once the cause and parts are known.
Can you repair shaking without replacing the tyres?
Sometimes. An otherwise suitable tyre may need balancing or a fitment correction. Damage, irregular wear or another fault can change that decision. Tyres should not be replaced simply because the car vibrates.
Do I need a computer scan for every vibration?
No. Wheel and brake problems may need physical measurements and inspection. A scan becomes useful for relevant engine-running, transmission or electronic-system complaints; it does not replace mechanical checks.
What happens after the repair?
After the work, the car should be checked under suitable, safe conditions to see whether the original shake has been resolved. Ask which parts were fitted and follow any care instructions for new tyres or brake components. Any parts or workmanship warranty depends on the work agreed; confirm the applicable terms before authorising it.
