What McLaren service and repairs cost

A routine service and a clutch, carbon-ceramic brake or hybrid fault have different costs. We quote the fitted job, rather than advertise one repair price for the entire range.

WorkCost guidanceInclusions to confirm
Agreed initial diagnostic checksAED 150–350 general guideFor supported scanning and initial fault checks agreed with the team. Extended investigation and manufacturer-only functions are separate. Confirm McLaren access before booking.
Scheduled service or oil serviceQuote for model and due workSpecified oil, correct quantity, compatible filter and agreed inspections. Spark plugs, air filters, brake fluid and gearbox service are separate unless listed.
Brake pads and discsQuote after brake specificationConfirm steel or carbon-ceramic equipment, pad compatibility and measured condition. The fitted quote identifies the axle, sensors and any caliper work.
Gearbox, clutch or suspension repairQuote after assessmentIdentify the failed system and compare component repair with major work. Include removal, fitting, fluids, required setup and final checks.
Engine, hybrid or structural workConfirm supported repair firstParts access, procedures and specialist or manufacturer involvement determine what can be accepted and quoted.

The diagnostic guide above includes 5% VAT. Your repair quotation states the complete payable total, parts choice, investigation already agreed and exclusions. Do not apply ordinary-car brake or oil-service prices to a McLaren without confirming fitment.

Work matched to your McLaren

Start with your model and concern. You do not need to identify the failed component before calling.

Your modelEquipment that changes the workDetails to provide

540C, 570S, 570GT and 600LT

Equipment that changes the workConfirm brake equipment, fitted dampers, lift system and body style. Previous upgrades can change compatibility.

Details to provideModel year, Coupe or Spider, warning message and recent work.

12C, 650S, 675LT, 720S and 750S

Equipment that changes the workSuspension and hydraulic equipment differ by generation. Brake specification and lift-system parts need the actual vehicle identified.

Details to provideModel, year, fitted options and whether a ride-height or handling concern changes with driving mode.

GT and GTS

Equipment that changes the workTouring bodywork, cabin equipment and fitted chassis components need the correct parts and procedures.

Details to provideYear, concern, service records and any changes from original specification.

Artura and limited-production models

Equipment that changes the workArtura hybrid work is different from a V8 repair. P1, Senna, Speedtail and track cars need the requested work and specialist access confirmed individually.

Details to provideExact model, original market and road or track specification. We confirm suitability before accepting the job.

Engine and cooling repairs

Describe the symptom and conditions. A stored code or warning alone does not establish that the engine needs rebuilding.

Rough running or reduced power

Record the warning and when power changes. Supported fault checks can distinguish ignition, fuel, air or boost-control concerns before a component is quoted.

Oil loss, smoke or unusual noise

Compare an external leak with internal oil use. Turbocharger, exhaust or engine work follows the findings. Ask for the cause, required access and fitted cost before major dismantling.

Temperature or coolant warning

Check the affected cooling circuit, visible leaks, hoses, heat exchangers and fan operation. Repeated overheating needs assessment before a flush or replacement part is agreed.

Gearbox and clutch decisions

Choose the concern below. Maintenance, an intermittent shift complaint and loss of drive require different work.

Service due

Details to bring
Bring the model, mileage and previous gearbox-fluid records. We confirm the required fluid, quantity and filter or seal work where applicable.
Repair decision
A fluid service is maintenance. Leaks, warning messages or poor shifting need their own assessment before relying on a fluid change.

What your McLaren service includes

An oil change and a scheduled service are different bookings. We list the inspections and replacements included so you can compare the quotation.

Mechanic checking engine oil during a service

Fluids and engine care

  • Required oil specification, quantity and filter
  • Visible leaks, hoses and belts within the agreed inspection
  • Due coolant, brake-fluid or other fluid work itemised separately
  • Battery condition and charging requirements for the fitted battery

Chassis and cabin checks

  • Brake condition and tyre wear
  • Steering, suspension and visible underbody concerns
  • Lighting, wipers and cabin-filter work where due
  • Reported warnings, lift operation and other agreed checks

Brakes, tyres and chassis condition

Identify the brake and chassis equipment first. The same noise can lead to different work on different models.

Brake equipmentDecision before replacement

Steel brake discs

Measure wear and assess damage before deciding on pads alone or pads with discs. Include suitable parts for the affected axle and check uneven wear.

Carbon-ceramic brakes

Use the applicable manufacturer condition limits and compatible pads. These are not assessed or quoted as ordinary steel discs. Confirm the inspection procedure and required parts before approving replacement.

Warning, pulling or vibration

Check the related hardware, calipers, tyres and wheel condition. A warning light or vibration does not automatically identify a damaged disc.

Tyre fitment and alignment

Match approved size, load and speed requirements. Different front and rear sizes can rule out ordinary rotation. Track tyres, wear or wheel damage need their own assessment. Alignment follows repair of worn components.

Suspension and vehicle lift

Report a knock, harsh ride, height change or lift warning. Check fitted dampers, hydraulic equipment, sensors and related connections where applicable. The repair differs across McLaren generations.

AC and electrical concerns

Describe when the problem appears and any recent battery, glass or electrical work. We confirm the checks supported for your car.

Clean and used cabin air filters shown side by side

Choose the symptom

Warm air

Check refrigerant loss, compressor operation and temperature control. A recharge does not repair an unresolved leak.

Weak airflow

Check the filter, blower and air distribution for the fitted system before choosing a replacement.

Displays or electrical faults

Report the affected function and whether it is intermittent. Supply, wiring, software and component faults require different checks.

Artura and other hybrid enquiries

Identify the exact hybrid model when booking. Procedures for Artura should not be applied automatically to a different McLaren hybrid.

Routine service and ordinary faults

Artura combines a petrol engine with an electric drive. Engine care, friction brakes and tyres remain relevant. A low-voltage battery problem and a high-voltage warning are different enquiries.

Charging or hybrid-system concerns

Share the warning, charging behaviour and changes in driving. We confirm supported testing, safety procedures, parts access and any specialist or manufacturer involvement before accepting high-voltage work.

Bodywork, carbon structure and parts

The complete quote should explain what will be repaired, which parts are needed and what requires specialist or manufacturer support.

Assess the damaged area

Send photographs of panels, glass or trim. Inspection distinguishes surface damage from concealed mounts, safety systems or structural involvement.

Agree the repair method

Carbon structure and damaged composite components need the applicable repair procedure and specialist suitability established. Panel work and paint refinishing are separate from a structural repair.

Confirm parts and approval

Match the VIN, body style and fitted equipment. Confirm sourcing time, parts condition, paint work and necessary setup. Insurance reporting, policy terms and authorisation affect the agreed job.

Plan your McLaren workshop visit

Before bringing the car

  • Your car Share the model, year and Coupe or Spider specification. Hybrid and track variants need to be identified.
  • The concern Describe the warning, service or change in driving. Bring relevant photos and previous repair invoices.
  • Transport Confirm clearance, lift-system condition and the model’s transport instructions. Collection method, location and any charge are agreed in advance.

Review the fitted quote, parts availability and expected timing before approval. Workshop time and delivery time are confirmed separately. Additional findings need your agreement before extending the job.

Questions before booking McLaren work

How much does a McLaren service cost?

A McLaren service needs a model-specific quote for the scheduled work, oil specification, filters and inspections. The price section includes an attributed Dubai market comparison, not a fixed offer from this workshop. Repairs and additional investigation are quoted separately.

Are you an authorised McLaren retailer?

This page is for independent workshop enquiries. Manufacturer warranty claims, campaigns and restricted software functions may require an authorised McLaren retailer. Confirm the available work before arranging a visit.

Can you inspect carbon-ceramic brakes?

Identify the fitted brakes first. Assessment and replacement decisions must follow the applicable manufacturer condition limits. We confirm the supported procedure and parts before accepting the work. Generic steel-disc measurements and prices should not be applied automatically.

Can you arrange Artura hybrid repairs?

Tell us the exact model and concern. Routine maintenance and high-voltage work have different requirements. Supported diagnostics, equipment, procedures and any specialist involvement are confirmed before major hybrid work is accepted.

Will a gearbox service fix poor shifting?

Not necessarily. A warning, slipping or poor engagement needs assessment. Fluid maintenance cannot repair a confirmed clutch, control or mechanical fault. The quote identifies the affected system and the final checks required.

How long will the repair take?

The team confirms time after the job and parts availability are known. Routine service, diagnosis, structural work and major repairs have different schedules. A parts delay is separate from workshop labour time.

Can you collect a McLaren that cannot be driven?

Ask when arranging the assessment. Transport must suit the model, clearance and condition, including any lift-system problem. Location, loading method and the charge are confirmed before collection. Do not drive through a serious braking, oil-pressure or temperature warning.
