Proton service and repair costs in Dubai

These general workshop estimates give you a starting budget. They are not fixed prices for every Proton. Model, parts availability and the work needed determine your quote.

Engine overhaul, gearbox repair, turbo replacement, AC faults and body damage need an individual assessment. We separate investigation, parts and labour so you can compare the complete repair.

Model, year and gearbox matter

Match the repair to your Proton model

Send the model, year and mileage with your enquiry. The VIN or existing part number helps when generations, imported specifications or previous modifications differ.

Saga, Wira, Waja and Savvy
Share the engine, gearbox and repair history. Older components, cooling parts and trim availability need checking before ordering.
Persona, Iriz, Gen-2, Satria, Prevé and Exora
Confirm the exact version before choosing oil, timing components or transmission work. Similar model names do not guarantee identical parts.
X50, X70, X90 and S70
Engine, transmission and fitted electronics vary. For example, the current X50 uses a dual-clutch gearbox, so its service needs differ from a CVT.
Mechanic using diagnostic equipment on a vehicle
Vehicle identification and test results help define the repair.

For an e.MAS electric or hybrid vehicle, contact us with the exact model and concern first. We confirm suitable workshop support before booking. Manufacturer campaigns, restricted programming and high-voltage work require the appropriate specialist arrangements.

A clear maintenance plan

Service the items your Proton actually needs

Bring your last service invoice and the schedule for your exact car. We identify what is due by time, mileage and use, then price those items separately.

The oil specification, fill quantity and final level matter together.
  • Oil and filtersOur oil and filter service uses the specified oil and a suitable engine filter. Air, cabin and fuel filters are listed when due and applicable.
  • Ignition and timingPlugs, belts and timing components follow the fitted engine’s schedule or a confirmed fault.
  • Fluids and conditionReview cooling, brake wear, tyres, leaks and battery condition. Gearbox fluid is a separate service item.
  • Completion and recordsRecord the work and parts fitted, complete relevant checks and discuss the next service due.

Use Proton’s model-specific manuals and service booklet rather than a universal interval. Tell us about repeated short trips, storage or heavy use before choosing the service.

From the symptom to the repair

Choose the repair for your Proton concern

Select your concern for the relevant repair choices. We explain the findings and agree the next step before replacing parts.

Leaks, rough running and lost power

Oil or coolant loss, overheating, misfires and reduced power can need different repairs. Tell us when the symptom occurs and what has already been tested.

  • Repair confirmed leaks, ignition, fuel or cooling faults.
  • Check turbo and intake equipment where fitted before choosing replacement parts.
  • For internal damage, compare overhaul with a compatible engine replacement, including installation and final checks.

Testing and any dismantling are agreed before a major repair.

Choose the work for the fitted transmission

Delayed engagement, judder, slipping or loss of drive needs assessment. A gearbox fluid service cannot be promised to fix worn internal parts.

  • Identify manual, conventional automatic, CVT or dual-clutch equipment before selecting fluid or parts.
  • Consider leak, clutch, electrical or control repairs when the findings support them.
  • Compare internal repair, rebuild or a compatible replacement with fitting and any required programming included.

Share the gear, driving conditions and last transmission service.

Restore cooling or resolve a starting fault

Weak cooling and a car that will not start need different checks. Battery supply, wiring and component operation guide the repair.

  • AC work can involve leak testing, airflow, fans, controls or a confirmed faulty compressor.
  • Starting faults need battery, charging and starting-system checks before replacement.
  • For windows, cameras, parking sensors, keys or modules, confirm compatibility and available access first.

A gas refill or software update is not an automatic cure.

Resolve noise, vibration or uneven tyre wear

We inspect brakes, tyres, steering and suspension before recommending parts or adjustments. Tell us whether the change followed an impact or tyre replacement.

  • Compare pad wear, disc condition and brake operation.
  • Check bearings, bushes, joints, dampers and steering components where relevant.
  • Balance wheels or adjust alignment after tyre and component condition is established.

Do not keep driving with reduced braking or unsafe steering.

Stop safely and call for an oil-pressure stop warning, overheating, smoke, a strong fuel smell, loss of drive or a serious brake or steering problem. Ask about suitable recovery before moving the car.

Before you approve the repair

Choose the right parts for your Proton

Confirm fitment, compare the options and agree the complete fitted price before ordering.

  1. Match the part to your car

Check the VIN, engine, gearbox and original component. Include imported-market details or modifications; appearance alone does not confirm fitment.

  2. Compare parts and warranty terms

Consider genuine, suitable aftermarket or remanufactured options where available. Confirm the supplier, condition, fitted price and warranty for the job.

  3. Agree the total and completion estimate

Confirm lead time, fitting, fluids and required calibration or programming. Further work found during repair needs your approval.

Before your workshop visit

Questions about Proton repairs and servicing

Useful answers about costs, parts, timing and the work available at our independent workshop.

How much will my Proton repair cost?

The table gives general workshop budgets with stated inclusions and 5% VAT. Your model, fault, parts and labour determine the repair estimate. We explain paid testing and any extra work before approval.

When should I book my next Proton service?

Follow the time and mileage requirements in the service booklet for your exact model and market. Bring the last invoice and mention storage, repeated short journeys or heavy use. We do not apply one interval to every Proton.

Can you repair my Proton gearbox or CVT?

We discuss fluid service, leaks, clutch or control repairs and internal repair or replacement after identifying the fitted transmission. Send the year, symptoms and service history so the required equipment, parts and work can be confirmed.

Can you find parts for an older Proton?

Send the VIN and original part number or clear component photos. We check suitable parts, supplier documentation and lead time. Availability and warranty are confirmed before ordering, especially for older or imported vehicles.

Is this an authorised Proton service centre?

My Car Repair Dubai is an independent workshop operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC. Ask Proton or the relevant authorised representative about manufacturer warranty, campaigns and restricted factory software. We confirm the work accepted by our workshop separately.

Can I bring an e.MAS electric vehicle?

Contact us first with the exact model and required work. Routine vehicle concerns and high-voltage or electric-drive faults have different equipment and access requirements. We confirm appropriate support before accepting the booking.

How long will the repair take?

We confirm timing after the checks and parts availability are known. Routine servicing and a major engine or gearbox repair have different timescales. Tell us if you plan to wait and ask about pickup or delivery availability and cost.

Can you inspect a Proton before purchase?

A pre-purchase inspection is a separate booking. Agree the checks, electronic coverage and any safe road test first. Share the vehicle details and records available from the seller. Fleet servicing can also be discussed using each vehicle’s mileage and history.
