Identify your Spyker before planning the work

The model, original specification and requested repair determine what needs checking. Start with the vehicle details so the visit can be planned around a defined job.

C8 Spyder and Laviolette

Send the year and VIN with your service record. Open-top and closed-roof cars have different body, glass and trim requirements. Describe a roof, door or cabin concern separately from mechanical work.

C8 Aileron

Identify the fitted transmission before requesting fluid, clutch or shift-related work. Photos of a warning or damaged component can help us prepare, but the quotation follows the accepted inspection.

Other versions and imports

For a Double 12, Preliator or unusual specification, send the exact vehicle details first. A shared C8 name does not establish engine, brake, gearbox or electronics compatibility.

The current Preliator XXV is a separate specification from earlier C8 cars. We check a new or specialist version individually rather than applying another model’s service parts or procedures.

Understand the cost before booking your Spyker

Agree the assessment first. Once the required work is identified, your repair quote shows the parts and fitting costs together.

Your itemised repair quote

What the fitted estimate covers
PartsNamed components, quantities and the agreed sourcing option.
FittingLabour, required fluids, seals and final checks.
ExtrasDelivery, transport or specialist setup when needed.
One fitted total to approve

We agree the total before repair and ask before adding work for further damage.

What goes into your Spyker service

Bring the mileage and last service invoice. We use them with the vehicle specification to separate the work due from optional or fault-related repairs.

Oil and filter service

Oil and filter
Specified oil, fill quantity, compatible filter and normal fitting consumables.
Drain and refill
The procedure and access required for the engine fitted to your car.
Final checks
Oil level checked and any continuing leak or oil-loss concern reported.

Other items due

Filters, spark plugs, coolant, brake fluid and gearbox maintenance are itemised separately when due. A warning light, overheating or running fault needs a separate assessment.

Choose work for the transmission actually fitted

Choose the fitted gearbox below. Model year, hardware and previous changes matter when matching parts and procedures.

Select the fitted gearbox

Separate clutch and shift concerns

Slipping under load, difficult selection and a changed clutch pedal can require different repairs. Inspect the relevant linkage, hydraulic operation and clutch condition before choosing a kit or larger gearbox job.

Maintenance
Identify the correct gearbox lubricant and any work due.
Repair planning
Confirm clutch parts, flywheel condition and access. Additional hydraulic or internal work is quoted separately.

Identify the automatic unit first

A leak, delayed engagement or shift fault needs an assessment of the fitted unit. A fluid service is maintenance and does not establish that an internal fault has been repaired.

Maintenance
Match the fluid, level procedure and any serviceable filter to the actual gearbox.
Repair planning
Compare a targeted repair, overhaul or compatible replacement after the fault and parts support are established.

Send a photograph of the selector if you are unsure which gearbox is fitted. Our transmission repair service explains the general repair choices.

Choose repairs that suit the condition found

Select the area that needs attention. We explain the repair and suitable parts route before proceeding, including work that depends on specialist support.

Close view of a brake disc surface
Brakes, tyres and suspension

Identify brake hardware before ordering pads or discs. Suitable serviceable discs may remain, while damaged or worn components need the relevant repair. A suspension knock can involve a joint, bush, damper or mounting, so the quote names the worn part.

Match tyre size, load and speed requirements to the vehicle. Check wheel damage and suspension wear before alignment. Weak braking or unsafe steering calls for advice and transport before further driving.

Engine leaks, cooling and running faults

A confirmed external fault may suit a targeted component repair. Internal damage needs a comparison of dismantling, repair parts and a compatible replacement. Oil-pressure warnings, overheating or sudden severe noise require stopping safely and calling before continuing.

AC, starting and electrical faults

Warm air, weak airflow and a starting fault need different checks. Identify refrigerant and charging requirements, test the battery and supply circuits, and confirm diagnostic access. Protected programming and specialist electronic functions need individual acceptance.

Body, glass and interior work

Compare repair with replacement for damaged panels, glass, door mechanisms and trim. Match materials, finish and fittings. Rare lamps, glazing and model-specific body parts may need sourcing before the job can be booked.

From your enquiry to the workshop visit

  2. Agree the work and parts

We confirm workshop requirements, suitable parts, their condition and applicable warranty, plus the fitted quote.

  3. Arrange your appointment

Agree parts availability and expected time without the car. If collection is needed, confirm transport and its charge.

Keep the final invoice showing the work completed and any remaining items.

Questions before booking your Spyker repair

Can you accept every Spyker repair?

Send the vehicle details and job first. We confirm practical workshop requirements, diagnostic coverage, parts and specialist procedures before accepting the work. An enquiry does not automatically confirm a booking.

Does the general diagnostic price apply to my car?

The AED 150–350 range including 5% VAT is published general workshop guidance. Your Spyker testing fee is agreed separately for the access and checks required. Repair work is quoted after the findings.

Can you arrange collection?

Ask when enquiring. Vehicle access, ground clearance, transport method, timing and any charge are confirmed before collection. Call before moving a car with unsafe braking, steering or an overheating concern.
