Engine and cooling repairs

Understand the fault before choosing engine repairs

A shaking engine does not tell you which part failed. We connect the symptom with test results, then explain whether a component repair, rebuild or replacement makes sense.

Rough idle or a check engine light

Fault codes and live data guide checks of plugs, coils, fuel supply, wiring and air leaks. A misfire code alone does not prove a coil has failed.

Overheating or coolant that keeps going missing

Leak tracing and pressure checks assess hoses, radiator and tank. Fans, thermostat and water pump may also need testing before head gasket work is recommended.

Oil leaks or the need for repeated top-ups

Tell us how much oil you add and how often. We check external leaks first. Suspected internal wear may need separately agreed compression or cylinder leak-down tests.

Low power from a turbocharged Zotye engine

Boost hoses, controls and the turbo can cause similar symptoms. We test the fitted system before recommending turbo repair or replacement.

Engine-bay checks connect the scan results with the condition of the actual components.

Choose the repair that matches the findings

Ask what test confirmed the fault and whether a smaller repair would solve it. Compare the complete fitted cost in our engine repair and rebuild guide.

Targeted repair
A confirmed hose, coil, gasket or sensor fault may need only that component repaired when the rest of the engine checks out.
Engine rebuild
For assessed internal damage or wear, agree the inspection, machining and renewed parts. Confirm dismantling charges if you stop and the warranty on the finished work.
Replacement engine
Compare engine code, new or used condition, supplier history and installed total. Include required cooling repairs, fluids, seals and setup.

Stop safely for an urgent engine warning

Red oil-pressure warning, overheating, severe knocking or heavy smoke need a safe stop and the engine switched off. A flashing engine light with heavy shaking also needs prompt attention. Do not open a hot cooling system or repeatedly restart. Ask about recovery to the workshop.

When the problem is elsewhere

Get help with gearbox AC and electrical faults

Choose the symptom closest to yours. Tell us when it happens and about any recent repairs so we can start with the relevant checks.

Gearbox hesitation, slipping or shudder when driving

Tell us whether the car is cold or warm and what happens when selecting Drive or changing gears. We identify the gearbox, inspect leaks and mounts, and review supported fault data.

  • Fluid servicing handles maintenance. It cannot restore worn clutches or damaged gears.
  • Valve-body, solenoid, wiring and clutch repairs have different scopes from an internal rebuild.
  • Before major work, agree removal, internal inspection, fluid, setup and any specialist coding costs.

AC turns warm in traffic or blows weakly

Cooling that fades at a red light needs checks of fans, system pressures and heat release. Another refrigerant refill may miss the cause.

  • Weak airflow can involve the cabin filter, blower or controls.
  • Low refrigerant calls for charge and suspected-leak checks. We confirm the refrigerant from the vehicle label.
  • Compressor, condenser and evaporator work has different parts and access costs.

See our AC inspection and repair options.

Battery goes flat or the engine won’t start

Clicking, slow cranking and cranking without starting are different clues. We check battery condition, terminals, charging output and the starter circuit as needed. Repeated flat batteries may need a parasitic-draw test for excessive electrical use while parked.

  • Match battery size, rating, polarity and technology before replacement.
  • A jump-start may get the car moving but does not explain why the battery went flat.
  • ECU, sensor, key and module work needs compatible parts and confirmed diagnostic or programming access.

Our battery testing and replacement service explains conventional and AGM options.

Identify the car before ordering

Match the repair to your exact Zotye

For a T300, T600, T600 Sport, T700, Z100 or another Zotye, the model badge is only the starting point. Year, engine, transmission and market specification determine fitment. T600 and T600 Sport parts must not be assumed interchangeable.

Start with the model and concern

  • Your model and the fault or service you need are enough to start.
  • Year, engine, transmission and VIN are useful follow-up details for fitment.
  • Symptoms, when they began and any recent repair or battery work.
  • A previous scan report or dashboard photo taken while safely parked, if available.

We can arrange an initial assessment without asking you to identify the failed component. Electronic and transmission work on a T700 is quoted after the required checks and part references are established.

Know what you are agreeing to order

We check the exact part and explain the available choices. Similar-looking parts can have different connectors, mountings or specifications.

Part and condition
Confirm manufacturer, part reference, new, used or reconditioned condition, and the applicable warranty.
Delivery and payment
Agree lead time, any deposit and the terms if an imported part is delayed or unsuitable.
While you wait
If the car can safely remain with you while a part is sourced, ask about that option.

Electric Zotye assessments

Contact us with the electric model and concern to arrange an initial assessment. We explain the available mechanical checks and any specialist EV support needed. High-voltage batteries, charging electronics and manufacturer software require appropriate specialist procedures and separate repair quotations.

Compare the complete parts options

A genuine new part, a named compatible aftermarket part and a used assembly can have different purchase costs and risks. Ask for the actual part reference, condition and fitted total rather than comparing only the box price. A used engine or gearbox needs its code and compatibility checked, while a rebuilt unit needs a clear description of what was renewed and tested.

If a component must be imported, the quote should identify its delivery estimate and ordering terms. Discuss any deposit, return restrictions and what happens if the part does not match. The workshop checks fitment before ordering; you do not need to select a substitute from an online photograph.

From the first check to collection

What happens after you bring the car in?

An unexpected repair is disruptive enough. You should know what we found, what needs doing and what you’re agreeing to. My Car Repair Dubai is operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC in Al Quoz.

  1. Describe the problem

We listen first. When does the symptom happen? Has it changed? We inspect the car and use a road test only where safe and appropriate.

  2. Test what needs testing

The initial scan helps direct the investigation. Physical checks, live data, leak tests or measurements establish more. We explain any charge for further work.

  3. Review the estimate

See the proposed repair, parts option, labor, VAT and expected timing. We separate urgent work from maintenance that can be planned. You decide what to approve.

  4. Recheck before collection

We check the repaired system against the original complaint. At handover, we explain the completed work, applicable warranty and anything that still needs monitoring.

Brakes steering and suspension

A noise doesn’t tell the whole story

Brake squeal is irritating. A soft pedal or a car that pulls sharply under braking is more urgent. Tell us how the car feels, not only what you can hear.

  • Brake vibration or an ABS light

We assess pads, discs, calipers and the relevant hydraulic or wheel-speed sensor checks. The quote states the axle and whether discs, sensors and hardware are included.

  • Knocks over bumps

Control arms, bushings, ball joints, links, shock absorbers and mounts may need inspection. We identify the worn part and side before recommending replacements.

  • Heavy steering or uneven tire wear

Check the fitted steering system, mechanical condition, tire pressures and wheel alignment requirements. Alignment cannot fix a loose joint.

For reduced braking, a sudden change in steering control or a visibly displaced wheel, stop safely and seek assistance.

Bodywork glass and exterior damage

Send photos of a damaged bumper, mirror, panel or window, plus the model and year. We’ll assess repair versus replacement and check part availability. Paint matching, trim, hidden impact damage and any fitted sensors can change the job. If windshield work affects a camera or driver-assistance system, the required setup must be included and capability confirmed.

Routine care without the guesswork

What should your Zotye service include?

“Full service” can mean different things on different estimates. Ask for the actual list. We build it around your model, mileage, handbook and previous work, so items already replaced don’t get lost in a generic package.

Air and cabin filters are separate from the engine oil filter. Each should be identified in the service estimate.
A useful money-saving habit

Keep your last service invoice. It tells us more than a dashboard reminder about the oil used, filters changed and maintenance still due.

Start with the scheduled work

  • Oil and filters

Match oil approval, viscosity and fill quantity to the engine. Confirm which oil, air or cabin filters are included.

  • Fluids and wear items

Review brake fluid, coolant, spark plugs, belts and transmission fluid against the correct schedule and service history.

  • Condition checks

Inspect brakes, tires, suspension, battery condition and accessible hoses for wear or leaks. Report findings before adding repairs.

What an oil change doesn’t include

An oil and filter service is not an engine diagnosis, gearbox service or automatic replacement of every filter. Those items need their own agreed scope.

Dubai heat doesn’t justify one oil grade for every Zotye. Dust, short trips and long periods of idling may affect the applicable maintenance schedule. Bring the handbook; if the history is missing, we’ll help prioritize the checks.

See what the estimate buys

Typical Zotye job estimates

Three estimated jobs show what the stated budgets cover. These are planning scenarios, not completed customer repairs. They assume the specified compatible new parts, normal access and the stated work. The actual vehicle specification determines the written quote.

Typical job estimate

2016 T600 scheduled oil service

You’re booking maintenance and have no warning or leak to investigate. For a suitable engine needing up to 5 liters, the estimate covers the specified oil, filter, labor and final checks.

Estimated total AED 200–350

Extra oil, a higher-cost approval or a separate fault changes the quote. Fully electric models are excluded.

Typical job estimate

2017 T300 front brake pads

Inspection confirms the pads need replacement and the discs remain serviceable. The estimate covers a compatible standard aftermarket pad set and fitting on the front axle.

Estimated total AED 250–500

Disc replacement, a separate wear sensor or additional hardware is priced only if required.

Typical job estimate

2015 Z100 conventional battery replacement

Testing confirms battery failure and the car accepts a conventional battery with straightforward access. The estimate covers the matched new battery and basic installation.

Estimated total AED 300–750

Charging-system repairs, further electrical testing and any mobile call-out are separate.

All three estimated totals include 5% VAT. Parts, fitting scope, final checks and any warranty applicable to the approved job are recorded in your quotation.

Before you arrange a visit

Questions before booking Zotye repairs

How much does Zotye repair cost in Dubai?

It depends on the fault and parts fitment. Useful starting ranges are AED 200–350 for a suitable oil and filter service, AED 250–500 for standard brake pads on one axle, and AED 1,500–4,500 for targeted transmission component work. These include 5% VAT and the stated work. A scan or inspection lets us turn that broad budget into your repair estimate.

Is the initial inspection and computer scan free?

Yes. The first visual inspection and supported introductory scan are free. A code can indicate which system needs investigation without identifying a failed part. Extended fault tracing, specialist tests, dismantling and repairs are separate paid work, agreed with you before it begins.

Can you get Zotye parts if the original part is unavailable?

We can check suitable options against the VIN and part reference. Depending on supply, these may include genuine, named aftermarket, used or reconditioned parts. Availability is not guaranteed. Ask about condition, fitment, delivery time and warranty before approving an order.

Should I repair or replace my Zotye engine or gearbox?

Start with the confirmed damage. A repairable component fault may justify a smaller job; internal wear may need a rebuild. Compare a replacement by its exact code, condition, complete installed cost and warranty. Ask about diagnostic or dismantling fees before deciding. We’ll explain the available choices for your vehicle.

How soon can I collect the car?

We’ll confirm timing after the assessment and parts check. A routine service, an intermittent electrical fault and an imported gearbox part have very different timelines. Ask for the diagnosis time, parts lead time and repair time separately, especially if you need the car every day.

Do you work on the Zotye E200 electric car?

Contact us with the E200 model and concern for an initial assessment. We explain what checks are available and any specialist EV support required. Low-voltage battery testing is separate from traction-battery or charging-system work. A fully electric vehicle does not need combustion-engine oil or spark plugs.

Are you an authorized Zotye dealership?

We’re an independent multi-brand workshop operated by AMF AUTO SERVICES LLC in Al Quoz. We do not claim authorized Zotye dealer status. Manufacturer software updates, security functions and other restricted procedures depend on confirmed access for your exact vehicle.

What should I send on WhatsApp?

Send your model and a short description of the concern or service you need. Year, mileage, VIN and a safely recorded warning photo are optional follow-up details. Mention if the car cannot be driven so we can discuss recovery.

Can you collect the car and what warranty applies?

Pickup and drop-off can be requested by arrangement. Confirm availability, timing and transport cost before booking; an unsafe or non-drivable car may need recovery. Ask for the parts and workmanship warranty in your estimate, including duration, coverage and exclusions for the chosen repair.
