Brake noise or uneven tire wear
Inspect pads, discs, tires, joints and dampers. Repair mechanical play or damage before deciding whether alignment or balancing is needed.
Stop safely for overheating, a flashing engine warning, impaired braking or loss of drive. Arrange vehicle recovery when the car cannot be driven safely.

LX, TXL, RX and VX owners can start with the model and registration year. We request the VIN privately when it is needed to confirm the powertrain, equipment or correct parts.
LX
EXEED UAE lists a 1.6 TGDI engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Confirm the year and original market before applying that specification to your vehicle.
TXL
Identify the engine and installed gearbox before planning fluid service or drivetrain repairs. A part listed for another EXEED may not fit.
RX
Confirm the fitted transmission from the VIN and vehicle details. Fluid, clutch work and setup must suit that exact unit.
VX
Check the year, drivetrain and installed chassis equipment. Match brakes, dampers and related parts to the actual application.
Electric and hybrid inquiries need separate acceptance checks. For ES, ET or another electrified variant, confirm the exact powertrain and requested work. High-voltage repairs, charging faults, software access and parts support are agreed before the vehicle is accepted.
Check an existing warranty or service plan first. We are an independent garage. Manufacturer warranty claims, recalls and service campaigns belong with the authorized EXEED network. Confirm contract and VIN eligibility before paying for overlapping work.
Manufacturer model information is available through EXEED UAE LX specifications and EXEED UAE RX specifications. The fitted equipment on your vehicle is the deciding check.
A shudder is not a gearbox diagnosis
Creeping, reversing, shifting and accelerating place different demands on the drivetrain. Describe when the hesitation occurs and whether it changes as the car warms up.
Identify the cause
Compare fault codes and live data with the complaint. Check engine operation, air or boost leaks, voltage supply and mounts where relevant before recommending internal transmission work.
Our diagnostic inspection service covers the initial investigation. Further testing or dismantling is agreed separately.
Choose the appropriate repair
A confirmed external or component fault may suit a targeted repair. Internal wear may need dismantling, a rebuild or a compatible replacement. Fluid service does not restore worn clutches or damaged internal parts.
Software work or adaptations are proposed only when the procedure is applicable and the required access is available.
Compare the complete quote
For a dual-clutch unit, the estimate should name the failed component, clutch or control assembly where relevant, seals, fluid, fitting and required setup. Confirm strip-down charges, parts availability and warranty before approval.
A generic automatic rebuild range cannot price every EXEED DCT. A VIN-based quote prevents comparison with the wrong gearbox.
Our general conventional automatic rebuild estimate is AED 3,500 to 10,000 or more including VAT. It applies only where that repair and transmission type are suitable. See transmission repair and rebuild choices.
Lost drive or a major leak needs a stop and recovery assessment. Tell the recovery team if the car cannot select Neutral or a wheel is locked.
Service the items that are due
Bring the service record or current reminder. We match the work to your EXEED schedule, history and condition.
Oil and filter
Confirm the oil product, required approval, quantity and compatible filter.
- A fully synthetic label alone does not confirm suitability.
- Check the final oil level and look for leaks.
Plugs filters and fluids
Separate inspection from replacement and itemize the parts that are due.
- Review air and cabin filters, spark plugs and brake fluid.
- Check coolant and gearbox fluid against the applicable schedule.
- Avoid applying one mileage interval to every EXEED.
Battery and warning messages
Test the 12V battery, charging supply and relevant circuits before attributing several warnings to one failed part.

Cabin comfort and engine temperature involve different systems. Start with the symptom, then test the affected system.
Warm air or weak airflow

Coolant loss or rising temperature

Switch off the engine, do not open a hot coolant cap and arrange suitable help.

A brake noise, ABS warning and vibration can lead to different repairs. Make the quote match the measured wear or confirmed fault.

Compare genuine branded parts, identified original-equipment supplier parts and suitable aftermarket options. The quote should state the maker and application. Similar packaging or an OEM quality claim is not a part number.
Control the total
Confirm the failed part, separate urgent work from work that can safely wait, and count overlapping labor once. Any used or remanufactured assembly needs compatibility, condition, setup and warranty checks.
Check the result
We recheck the original complaint and the systems affected by the repair. Ask for the itemized invoice, applicable warranty and any recheck instructions. Parts lead time and workshop time are confirmed separately.

For suitable engines using up to 5 liters, oil and filter service is estimated at AED 200 to 350 including 5% VAT. Higher capacity or costlier specified oil can be AED 350 to 600. A pad set on one axle is estimated at AED 250 to 500 with suitable aftermarket parts and fitting. Diagnosis and excluded repairs are confirmed separately in the written quote.
Can you quote a dual-clutch repair before seeing the car?
We can explain the likely quotation items, but the gearbox identification and test findings are needed to price the actual repair. A clutch assembly, control fault and internal gearbox damage are different jobs. Send the model and year first, then confirm diagnosis, any strip-down charge and parts availability.
Is the first inspection free?
The initial visual assessment is free. A relevant scan and agreed initial fault diagnosis are estimated at AED 150 to 350 including VAT. Specialist tests, dismantling and repairs need separate approval.
Are you an authorized EXEED dealer?
No. My Car Repair Dubai is an independent workshop. Contact the authorized EXEED network for manufacturer warranty claims, recall eligibility and service campaigns. Check any existing service plan before commissioning overlapping work.
Does every EXEED use the same gearbox?
No. Model, year and market matter. EXEED UAE material includes dual-clutch and conventional automatic applications. We identify the unit before choosing fluid, quoting clutch work or recommending internal repairs.
Can you update software or calibrate cameras?
Availability depends on the vehicle and required procedure. We first investigate the fault and confirm tool access, software authorization and any calibration requirements. A general scan does not establish access to every manufacturer function.
How long will my repair take?
The initial diagnostic visit usually allows about 30 to 60 minutes once work begins. Intermittent faults, dismantling and parts orders take longer. We give a useful repair timeline after the findings and parts availability are known.
Can you arrange pickup or recovery?
Pickup and drop-off can be discussed when booking, subject to availability, access and the agreed charge. A vehicle with overheating, unsafe brakes or loss of drive needs appropriate recovery instead of being driven to the workshop.
What warranty comes with the repair?
The written estimate and invoice identify the applicable parts and repair warranty. Coverage depends on the work and chosen parts. Our repair terms are separate from the manufacturer warranty.
Can you inspect a used EXEED before purchase?
Yes. An agreed pre-purchase inspection can check accessible mechanical and body condition, electronic faults and a safe road assessment when permitted. It records observed findings and limitations, rather than guaranteeing future reliability.
